This was written in December…. Similar to a YouTube video someone posted I can’t remember who. A chilling account of what was to come and what has already been done. Again written before Trump took office.
they truly believe they HAVE to dismantle everything and start over and that a dictator is the only way, but hey at least he will be conservative.
there is no route to win over MAGA. All we can hope is that he moves so fast the leopards eat enough faces and it backfires.

I mean…y’all are starting to realize that we’re going to have to kill a bunch of these people in the war that they are starting, right? That’s how wars work.
It’s so fucking unnecessary and stupid (again, like most wars), but they have doubled and tripled down, and won’t stop until it’s an actual hot war.

A different version, and unless you’re 97 with terminal cancer yeah it’s set to happen in your life time unless we stop it.

Setting aside politics for the moment, I really think the only thing that might move the needle is a general strike, but I don't see that happening.

One of the problems with these techtards is that they have basically matured believing the rules don't apply to them:  bricks and mortar business, IP laws, regulations, etc.

It's really a chronic case of too cool for school.

Idiots like that eventually find out that they’re not too cool for lead. Everyone bleeds. Stupid, but here we are.

Even if we tried organizing a general strike, half the country doesn’t pay attention and wouldn’t know they were supposed to be striking.

The 10 year bond saving us was not on my bingo card but it’s going to happen.  When shit falls apart and credit for companies gets expensive shit will get real fast.

Trump is now “considering” 25% tariff on cars, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals. Honda and Toyota have responded saying they would shut down their lines and lay off all workers - affecting Tennessee, Kentucky, etc.

Except they’re nerds who once they won the Greek Council rather than inviting Betty and Ogre into the fold decided to burn down the entire university out of anger on how they got treated.

Working on EU through the wife and was just in Mérida for a wedding.  Good attorneys there can get Mexico done for you if you spend 3 months there.  Fuck it.  Not burning down overnight but I’m sure as shit gonna have my options open when it does.

With Trump’s fine work we will have to kill a lot less.  And the ones that survive will be a lot easier to kill.  Just drop off some Krispy Kreme’s.

Id love to see who has health problems that count on the govt for assistance - right vs left.  LFG

You have to have a voice from someone that people will coalesce around. It would be cool if that is Buttigieg because is one of the smartest human beings on the planet. He has a higher amount of intellect in his pinky than this entire administration has combined. Thank God he’s an American. He’s what we need leading us, but instead we get grifters stealing everything including the kitchen sink.

You mean all the people who just got hit by that hurricane and the floods and all?  That would be really bad.

Remind me which states are all in for this guy?

This version of Revenge of the Nerds is much less cool and needs more tites than the original.

Well, Congress was supposed to stop something like this from ever happening, but the Ds are outnumbered and the Rs are scared shitless to stand up to Trump. They are more concerned about their future political careers and the very real prospect of getting primaried in 2 years if they don’t support everything that Trump and Elon want. Elon has said he will contribute $100MM to primary people who aren’t team players.

Look at how easily they bullied Senator Joni Ernst into confirming Pete Hegseth. She’s a sexual assault survivor and an outspoken advocate against sexual assault and was respected across the political aisle for that, but they threatened her and she flipped her stance to confirm a man accused of sexual assault and with a very poor history of treating women. That was a dress rehearsal for any future opposition within the Republican Party and the message was highly visible to the rest of Congress.

Polling doesn't mean shit anymore.  We passed that in November of last year.

We had the inverse of Four Weddings and a Funeral last year so I stepped away for awhile, and two months into 2025 and one is inclined to view an island as rather peaceful as long as one can perform dental surgery with an ice skate.

When I was working in Columbia, South Carolina back in 2003, many of the convenience stores would have "prayer lists" by the register. You were invited to write the name of a person and what you wanted some circle of weirdos to pray about on their behalf. I would write on there about my friend Jeff Spicoli who needed prayers for his substance abuse. If I ever encounter something like that again, I'll ask for prayers for my friend Avon Barksdale and his legal troubles.

I fully expect the spin to be that Biden and the Libs stole the jobs like they stole everybody's tax dollars, and DOGE got here just in time to prevent another Great Depression.  We'll all take a 25% hit to our 401k's, but it would've been 40% if we hadn't had such a brilliant businessman in office.  Those of us fortunate enough to keep our jobs can just work 60 hours a week to keep the GDP up.  It'll be our patriotic honor.

I mean, they think Trump did a good job with Covid.  There's nothing they won't fall for.

It’s even simpler. CARES and ARPA acts are to blame. Because reasons. Not shut up so I can pass another tax break for those making $300,000+.

Explain this to me like I'm 5. If our economy crashes, how is any bond note worth a shit?

Thanks for the tax break.

Which country is going to be the first one to roll out the red carpet for our best and brightest to immigrate? That has to be being discussed in most European countries.

With the cut of around 10% of NSF employees and the overall funding freeze for certain agencies, higher ed is going to be going through some things if the $$ stay on hold. The way I understand it is that the larger schools (say like UT and A&M) will be okay until the beginning of summer, but things may get uncomfortable after that. If that happens, campus cuts (especially in GOP dominated states) will likely follow ideologically directed guidelines in order to keep certain funding streams open. That's speculation, but not too hard to imagine. Other countries can certainly make some offers and likely find some willing interviewees. In addition, local economies of smaller university towns would take a hit as sometimes the school is the largest employer. Even if the skeptics say, 'well, just teach then" (i.e. no research), the infrastructure of the Tier I schools is enormous. Going to just let it all decay? Wait, don't answer that....
