My heart is sad. He was such a joy to watch this year. Dart’s reaction said it all. He is so beloved by his teammates. I wish Mara (sorry he’s dealing with the cancer) would just fire Dabolll bc they will I think waste both Dart and when Skatebo comes back (with a short shelf life career) on games they lose they should win. Because of shit coaching, Jmo.

1.  Owners fire coaches who don’t win.

2.  Unlike college, coaches play any player who gives them the best chance of avoiding #1.

3.  Coaches don’t give a fuck about anything but keeping their job.

Leg looked nasty. On the bright side, it’s possible he’s about to go the longest stretch in his adult life without a brain injury.

He could always start sniffing glue.

As Biff noted, the family is way more Joe Dirt than “Oh Lord, please protect my precious child.” Shit, they let the little fucker slam into telephone poles as a child to toughen himself up. They didn’t stop him, they laughed and thought it was hilarious.

Source: Skattebo also suffered open fracture, ruptured ligament

He was Theismann'd.

Quote

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo suffered an open tibia fracture and ruptured deltoid ligament in addition to a right ankle dislocation in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Skattebo underwent emergency surgery Sunday night in Philadelphia to address the injuries but has since returned to New Jersey. Coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that the rookie was "wheeling around" the team facility and attending meetings.

The overall prognosis for the injuries is relatively positive, a source said. Skattebo is expected back before the start of next season if there are no complications.

The open fracture means the bone penetrated the skin. That made it a medical emergency and required Skattebo to remain in Philadelphia for surgery that night.

This should help him get to that 2nd contract, as well as his 40th birthday.

Bro, with as many hits as he's taken, he ain't making it to 40. See Doug "Muscle Hamster/Douggernaut" Martin, sadly.

I imagine Cam will probably have advanced CTE by age 32. I'm not kidding.

I know a lot of us, well, all of us didn't like being on the other side of the Skatteboo show, but it's hard not to enjoy watching the guy play when it's not your team in the middle of it.

The Texas Longhorns sure as shit could have used someone with his "oh you don't want to make a hole, ok I'll make my own fucking hole" running style this season.

100%. He would have been a great band aid for our shitty line and would have gotten plenty of PT among our injury prone cast of RBs.

It is not just he is a gladiator.

He’s also an amazing teammate.

Completely puts his body on the line for a win. And hell yeah any team college or pro could use a guy like him on their team.

I think further Dart is HIM for the Giants but I think Daboll needs to gtfo. Hope Boo can play again. Damn he was fun to watch.

Yeah I’m with you. The amount of hate this dude gets on the boards is wild and unfounded.

Had he played for Texas there would be a ton here with Skattebo jerseys. No shit.

He is not a great teammate. He's literally being sued right now by his now ex-ASU teammate Mattheos Katergaris over Cam being asked to stop jumping on a golf cart and it threw the guy off and it ended his football career by rupturing his triceps tendon after the cart collapsed, which happened in July 2023. It's still ongoing. He's being sued for $300k for medical expenses and other injuries.

Being a college kid jackass on a golf cart does not make him a bad teammate, so certainly you can recite something else since you stated he is a bad teammate.  The Giants social media says the exact opposite.

When you're asked to not do something because someone could get hurt, and that someone is your own teammate, I would say considering he ended a guy's career because he wouldn't stop being a shit head could be considered a bad teammate, especially if the person in the wrong isn't taking accountability for their poor decision making.

I don't give two shits what the Giants say. Do you think he's going to do that to grown ass men who will beat his fucking ass if he doesn't stop? He's a rookie drafted in the fourth rd, so of course he's on his best behavior. He's expendable, and he knows it. Let's see how he turns out in year 3 once he's comfortable, assuming he's healthy and not on IR. That was a nasty injury.

Let me ask you this - Do you act the way you did in college when you were hired at your job? Fuck no. Everyone is happy and smiley at the beginning.

I’m no PI litigator but even though Cam acted like a dumbass that causation chain seems pretty tenuous. Guess Katergaris’s lawyers thought our guy is injured and fucked up + Cam’s NFL $$ = nice quick settlement. The wheels of justice turn slowly, if at all.

I mean, sure, I can see that. But they also did not know if he would even make a roster, so the NFL money aspect I would bet plays little part in it. He is only asking for his medical expenses to be paid, he's not suing for $1m+. The original lawsuit was filed in May of 2024, so there was no way to even know if he would make NFL money or get the Frank Gore + Willis McGahee knee treatment, but without the recovery they both had. I mean, look at Jonathan Brooks right now. He's back on IR since week 2 or something because his knee won't heal. Anyway, my point being is the original suit was filed well before Cam had his breakout season at ASU, so the NFL $ played very little. It didn't move forward until January of this year.
