Skeletor has a Texas problem. Let’s see if a single soul in the national media addresses it.

Considering our pitiful record vs OU the last 25 years, I feel #blessed that our coach is over .500 after five years, and theirs is 1-3 after four.

Wisner lives for this game.

A healthy Wisner makes this offense *very* different. That was an excellent defense.

Can we get some more “Mateer for Heisman” talk? Oops 3 picks and he looked like a fucking spare

Feels good to beat ousucks

Horns came ready for the street fight this year and OU couldn’t match it. We beat their ass down in the second half.

I rarely watch this kind of thing but this video is golden. The call-ins start at 14:40, I believe. The hosts fight with each other and the callers.  OU fans are perplexed, devastated, humiliated, and most of all furious at God and everyone. It's glorious to watch

edit: part 2 is just as funny, maybe even funnier.  At around 23:52, one of the hosts slams his glass down in anger and the other host actually signs off the stream for a minute before coming back and shouting at the other guy. This is good stuff

These are amazing. Just totally losing their shit at each other. Are these guys brothers? They look very similar.

I have a $1 bet with my company’s COO. We call it the “Trading Spaces” bet ( Eddie Murphy/Dan Aykroid movie  for the youngsters on Surly.  Known him before I even worked at the company.  He has to do the “walk of shame” and bring the dollar to my desk!  He’s a great guy, even though a big Sooner donor, as he’s in the program of the TX/OU game when they’re the home team.

Trust me, as I’m a peon when it comes to hierarchy at my company, even though my former BIL for 30+ is the CFO, he will have to do the walk of shame to bring me my $1

Hook’em!!!

Have him put the score and date on it with a signature.

The coffee and sunrise are double good this morning.  Outstanding effort from the coaches and players alike.  Keep that shit up.

good morning ya'll.jpg

No one has been trashing TW, not sure where you got that.  OL sure, run game in general yes, but TW is our best RB

Yes they have. Go read the Florida game thread.

I just love OU spending a year searching for a QB that could beat us and that QB that they brought in was the instrument of their downfall today. 3 FGs in 2 years. And they have @ South Carolina, Ole Miss, @ Tennessee, @ Alabama, Mizzou, and LSU. Inject this shit in my veins if they go 0-6 the rest of the way.

Hopefully that Ole Miss loss has some Freshwater trolling on social media afterwards.

Well that’s a shame. He doesn’t deserve that.  I posted his highlights video recently and said he would make the Offense much better.

Gameplan for OU was much better suited to what this OL can handle.  We’ll see moving forward , but TW is a solid back

OU is f'd, yes?  I'm under the impression they don't have money to burn and Venables' buyout is $45 mil.  Could they even afford someone like Cignetti if they fired BV?

Well, the hot takes supersede their football knowledge. Any fucking moron dragging one of the best rbs in the SEC should become a WNBA fan.

Oops. The Fair disorients me, but y’all are right.

Either way, it was by far the most sedate Sooner side of the stadium I’ve ever witnessed in person.

Holy shit. That fat fuck is utterly clueless

Niblett had cost us tons of yards all year by not fielding short punts and did it again yesterday.  Somebody finally kicked it long and he didn’t have to come forward to field it.  I don’t blame Niblett though.  He’s clearly not being coached to field short punts.  I think anybody you put out there would do the same shit.  Overall, Banks units have been subpar this year.  Sark needs to find a ST coach.

After getting ejected from my daughter's, who is a Senior, water polo area regionals game yesterday (was her last high school game) and the first two quarters of today's game, my wife has officially taken me off suicide watch.
Holy shit, what a game. I don't know what adjustments they did during halftime, but I'm down like Charlie Brown on whatever it was.
Next 3 games should be some momentum makers for Arch and the offense now.

If you’re getting ejected from your daughter’s water polo matches you may some problems to address.

What a weird and glorious Texas-OU game. Usually this game involves tons of big plays, where one side of the stadium is going apeshit and the other is dead silent. It goes back and forth over the course of the game.

But not today. We had our moments for sure. But I can’t recall even a single time the north side of the Cotton Bowl erupted into anything more than a mild celebration. OU had no big, momentum-swinging plays. They forced no turnovers. They scored no touchdowns. They blocked no kicks.

For a game that was competitive until late, the Sooners did absolutely nothing remarkable.  Just a really uninspired performance by the bad guys today. I fucking loved every minute of it.

Hes been non-competitive against Texas and the schedule sets up for a pretty bad finish. They could legitimately finish 1-5 or something with how bad their run game is

So what changed yesterday? Can Brooks by himself make the o line run block while also holding off a pass rush?

Arch missed a ton of open WRs - including two that would have been TDs - but he’s improving and looking more composed. If he gets reads and speeds up, we’ll be cooking.

Less reads, less slower developing down field targets.   Herbie mentioned it later in game.  This looks more like colts offense.   We took points inside the 5 should tell us all we need to know.  Sark knows we are limited offensively, the fg take was telling.   He just needed to shit the bed in Gainesville to understand it.

we will be more ball control, outside zone, we used the hell out of TE yesterday.  We’ll take  shot down field situationally vs dictating terms.

Banks needs gone.

Niblett has vastly improved (even before the RRS) since the start of the season.

On non-pressured pass attempts arch completed 80%. That was the difference in results between he and Mateer, who did what Arch did when Florida had him running for his life: lob prayers or get beat up

crazy arch numbers:

on 3rd downs, he was 11/12 for 100+ yards.

It's too early to tell, but Arch is showing signs of being a gamer. Ewers always started fast and then cooled off as the defense made adjustments. Arch has gotten better as the game goes on.

Wisner played his best game as a Longhorn. I have never seen him run that physical.

Arch impressed me in the second half. First time I have seen him consistently be on target. I shouldn't rule out the possibility the receivers were also doing a better job getting open.
