It's almost like the decision was made by someone who doesn't give a fuck if ISIS attacks us.  Or would even welcome an attack so he can further demagogue brown people/declare martial law.

I think you’ve figured it all out. Kudos.

Pulling out of Syria to get closer to martial law at home. Truly 37D chess. Lolololol

I don’t know about the War College’s role in actual day to day military planning. Probably like >90% of Americans.

It's more about leadership training and education on strategy, etc.  But it's still our best of the best.

I see GRHorn is back in the house again subtly supporting trump, asking some questions, all the while once again telling us how great his life is.

Some things on the net never change.

1) I support withdrawing troops

2) Did you know about the War College? I didn’t. And still really don’t know what it has to do with day to day

3) correct

sure doesn't stop you from talking just asking questions out of your ass though.

I ask questions here when I don’t know about something that’s brought up and don’t care to google or feel like I’m missing something. Typically rep the answers I get no matter what.

This Just in case you are one of those dumb motherfuckers that likes to say, "But the economy is great!"  In response to valid criticisms of Donald Trump.

Trump is ONLY 1.5 MILLLION jobs behind Obama in job creation.  So next time you open your mouth and say  the economy is "great" or "the best economy ever" understand that Trump simply has underperformed against the economy he inherited from Obama.  That's right dumb ass, Obama created a lot more jobs, and had Trump done nothing he very wll could have simply kept creating jobs at the same pace Obama did.  Forbes- Trump has created 1.5 million fewer jobs than Obama.

So now you know!!!!! Trump can't carry Obama;'s jock strap when it comes to job creation, no matter how many times a circle of idiots repeats the same lie.

next: I will try to explain to the same dumb motherfuckers that huge deficits are Trump's singular achievement . Even a fake wall can't get past Trillion dollar annual deficits.

To them it is Americans. To us it is Republicans.

To be honest, I don't think that it's only GOPs that have screwed them over the decades. Here, the Trump Republicans have set a new standard by essentially allying with a Kurd enemy in their extermination.

The Kurds need a homeland. Such an absurdity that the British forget about them when they were carving up the Middle East. A fucking oversight in a room thousands of miles away and this is what you get.

Ok.

Does the War College contribute to actual day to day policy making or is it just a College in the sense that it’s a training facility/program?  Because if it’s he first it would be noteworthy. If it’s the second, idgaf.

It's all socialist professors just like any other college. The students get high and drunk and drift into becoming libtards or, even worse, intellectuals. Some become libtard generals just like all the libtard FBI agents.

Here's video from their last graduation. Pretty sad, really.

InstructiveDeadlyAmericanindianhorse-siz

We are fortunate that Trump has unsurpassed wisdom and knowledge in all things. I mean, he knows more than the generals. He told us so.

We'd be better off shutting the War College down and sending those hippies to Liberty University, by God.

Also, thanks for being so patient with all of us hysterical liberal cabal members (tovarisch) who blow the whole betrayal of our comrades in arms and alienation of our long time allies all out of proportion. We really do get carried away when the president incorrectly states how tariffs work and fawns over murderous autocrats. I mean, really, why all the hubbub?

Further, who better than the president to identify enemies of the state and the treasonous members of Congress and the press? He has the mandate of the people and maybe even the Mandate of God. God smiles on his concentration camps and expulsions of people in the US for life-saving care while we dumbasses hyperventilate about the whole nothing burger.

Surely your patience and wisdom have helped you to your comfortable life and the political choices you make. Stay the course. The world, the climate, world conflicts and the rise of fascist nationalism will all be fine. Human compassion awaits just around the corner to wash away cruelty-it needs no encouragement or cultivation.

We're the greatest country the world has ever known or will ever know because we (you, actually) are the greatest people in the world.

You're a model to us all.

The president's attorney. The best people. We should just look for a birth mark on Trump to prove he's a witch.

For fuck's sake.  If you're relying on the Salem Witch Trials as evidence of how the wheels of justice should turn, you're doing it wrong.

The only comment I would offer is that it doesn’t help POTUS impulsiveness to know that the military establishment fights every hint at withdrawal every step of the fucking way.

The only comment I would offer is that experts in warfare with decades of experience are a better bet regarding military strategy than a silver-spooned business buffoon that couldn’t make a casino turn a profit.

But hey, that’s like just my opinion, man.

Do you think the majority of those experts approve of the proposed slow, negotiated withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan? I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that they don’t. Admittedly a guess. And we should’ve been out of there a long fucking time ago.

If the only tool you have is a hammer, treat everything as a nail. The US military does what it does

I say we throw him in the Potomac.  If he sinks, he's innocent.  If he floats, he's guilty and we burn him.

I'm not the one who brought up witches.

Well, yet again, you know next to nothing of which you speak.

Spend some time visiting with ANYONE even remotely connected with developing such policies.  They'll tell you, in rather short order, that 1) you develop an achievable set of metrics, and tie a phased drawdown to such metrics, 2) you achieve those metrics, and 3) you draw down your presence.

We've done it before.  We've also done it POORLY before.  Folks who study this shit are aware of both negative and positive models, and apply them both.

Once we are involved in a conflict (and you can agree or disagree with us choosing to get involved, but that ship has sailed), there is a slate of options.  Don't choose one of the shittiest ones.  Don't choose without proper analysis.  Jesus, that's a fucking rule for any goddamned subject.

It should also be noted that African Americans were the primary target and who, as a group, saw turn-out drop significantly in 2016. Now, of course, it might be because Obama was no longer on the ballot but it was still less than 2004 when motherfucking John Kerry was running.

Quote

The Russian government's interference in the 2016 U.S. elections singled out African-Americans as a target, a new Senate committee report concludes.

Using Facebook pages, Instagram content and Twitter posts, Russian information operatives working for the Internet Research Agency had an "overwhelming operational emphasis on race... no single group of Americans was targeted... more than African Americans."

That was evident throughout the IRA's Facebook content, the report said, citing the fact that over 66 percent of that content contained a term related to race.

And using ads with locational targeting "principally aimed at African-Americans in key metropolitan areas," the Russian information operations focused on pages like 'Blacktivist,' which garnered 11.2 million engagements with Facebook users.

*****

And the study also concluded that the IRA sought to focus on socially divisive issues like race to pit Americans against each other.

*****

"By flooding social media with false reports, conspiracy theories, and trolls, and by exploiting existing divisions, Russia is trying to breed distrust of our democratic institutions and our fellow Americans," Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr said in a written statement.

A new analysis of November’s election published in the Washington Post on Monday suggests that Hillary Clinton’s performance was damaged by a significant decline in turnout among black voters, especially in a few high-stakes states. From the Post:

Black turnout declined dramatically; white turnout increased noticeably; and Latino and Asian American turnout went up even more. In the key swing states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, those shifts were especially strong. How strong? Without those shifts in turnout from various racial and ethnic groups, these pivotal states might have gone not to Trump but to Clinton—giving Clinton an electoral college victory.

According to Demos’ Sean McElwee, UMass–Amherst’s Jesse Rhodes and Brian Schaffner, and Indiana University’s Bernard Fraga, black turnout declined by 4.7 points from 2012 nationally while white turnout increased by 2.4 points. Crucially, the drop in black turnout was even sharper in states where the margin of victory was less than 10 points than it was nationally—in those battleground states, black turnout dropped 5.3 points. In two critical states that swung to Trump—Michigan and Wisconsin—black turnout dropped by just more than 12 points. Declines were less dramatic but significant in other swing states Trump carried: Ohio (down 7.5 points), Florida (4.2), and Pennsylvania (2.1). White turnout declined modestly in each of those swing states but Florida and Pennsylvania, where it increased by 3.5 points and 5.2 points respectively. Clinton lost each of those swing states but Ohio by a margin of less than 2 points.
