We’re a long way from his campaign promise of ending the wars in Gaza and Ukraine prior to even taking office.

Bottom line:

1) Everything that he promised that requires competence and skill (e.g., negotiating tough diplomatic issues, resolving wars, etc.) -- FAIL!  WHY NOT DONE?

2) Everything that he promised that requires nothing more than blunt force and stupidity (tariffs, sending out the Gestapo to kick down doors) -- he did exactly what was promised.

This is the Trump way.  Promise to do all kinds of stuff, succeed only in doing stupid/clumsy/cruel stuff.

This is supposedly a strike on nuclear facilities, yet Trump is out there demanding unconditional surrender.

The 21st century definition of what a war is really loose. Almost like war and peace don't mean anything anymore.

21st century? Equating war with peace dates back to 1984, at least.

"Thank you for your attention in this matter!" is such a boomer old person closing of a low-wattage brain who is trying to sound professional and smart and underscore the previous unhinged and emotionally charged rant.

It's not just crazy, it's zany at this point.

Though I don't think we will "go to war" so much as we will bomb the crap out of Iran to almost zero reprucssion outside of some global tsk-tsking.

Have you forgotten what timeline we're in?

Russia actually believed Kyiv would fall in a matter of hours. These "military operations" have a way of going into double overtime.

I mean, I guess. Iran has reportedly wildly changed tunes from "we aren't even talking about a ceasefire until we get our revenge" to "back channeling to american allies asking them to tell Israel to please stop"

Au contraire. War is peace.

The best analogy I can think of right now is, Iran finally got caught outside in the streets and is catching these hands from Israel and everyone is standing around and watching it. No Arab/ME are jumping in to help and the West is just yelling "Worldstar!".

The internal calculus has to be one of two things:

1) do you let up on them and hope they've learned their lesson though they likely get down the block and barely within earshot start talking mad crap again before running off with threats of "just wait til I get back" and try to rally his friends, or

2) beat the pulp out of Iran to the point where they don't even come outside of the house again

We have the ostensible leader of the free world announcing on his own social media site that the 9 million inhabitants of Tehran should evacuate. That’s how unserious we’ve become as a nation.

Given what Israel just did to Hezebollah and continues to do to Hamas, I think we know the answer to that question.  They've gone full Judge Dredd.

LOL NYTimes good one.

And President Trump on Tuesday threatened the ayatollah in a social media post, saying “we know exactly where” he is. But he added that “we are not going to take him out (kill!), at least for now.” Killing foreign leaders is against the law in the United States.

He meant before his inauguration in 2029.

And he meant ending the wars by helping Russia obliterate Ukraine and helping Israel obliterate Gaza and Iran.

The US Secretary of Defense pondering implications during a meeting where war may be waged at any moment:

Fuck, was I supposed to wear a red tie? I got the suit right, but why didn't my assistant tell me about the tie when I was kidding around and rubbing her ass yesterday?

And the cap! Fuck. I didn't bring the cap. I need another drink!

I'm just now catching up.  But from best I can tell, this Fat Wad has issued a fatwa.  Is that about the gist of it?

Actually it's no longer against the law for Trump following the Supreme Court's completely un-American and insane ruling in Trump v. United States.

So if I’m the leadership of Iran, what exactly is my reasoning for not just launching everything I have in a moment of final glory?  The most powerful leader in the world just told my biggest city to evacuate and my other biggest enemy has already aced most of my military leaders. It just seems primed.

Religious zealots in the Middle East have the bomb, but Iran doesn’t.

It’s wild how no one talks about North Korea getting a nuke anymore or being some kind of imminent threat… what happened? … Oh yeah

It's wonderful our idiot president has us right in the middle of this shit that otherwise doesn't have anything to do with us.

Whether anything actually happens or not, as a country, we fucking deserve it. What a shit country this has become.

Ah, thanks Rambo. Didn’t know.

At first I thought he meant we weren’t taking him out for a nice night on the town. Glad he cleared it up!

Israel apparently owns most politicians in this country, from both of our political parties, so I'm not sure having the idiot in there really changes much on Iran/Israel. I suppose a Dem might have counseled more restraint, but then again we didn't exactly see that in Gaza from Biden.
