Did Keeley get ugly(ier)?  Her face looks weird this season...and the accent is now annoying. lol

Season has gotten better after a rough start with Zava

It look like she lost weight and she's definitely pulling her hair back tighter. So her face looks weird but she has her tits pushed up which is definitely distracting me from her face changes

there is literally 5x more complaining about season 1 talk than there is season 1 talk. you people have completely lost the plot.

people are allowed to be critical of shows. repeat this ad nauseam until it sinks in.

oh good, it's the 500th time this has been posted! 🙄 so in your mind, anyone who has anything less-than-positive to say about a tv show should just stop watching that show altogether and then never post here again? where the hell do you people come up with this stuff? and how do you even buy into it? it's absolutely childish and illogical. someone having criticisms of a show does not mean that person suddenly hates the show. how do you not understand this?

how do you people believe the things you type? this is the exact opposite of what's happening here. first, literally nobody who is posting here hates the show. and second, it's the people who blindingly love the show who want to make it a law that nobody who doesn't completely agree with them can post in this thread. aka the opposite of what you're saying.

this is a truly mind boggling phenomenon. I need some Ivy League behavioral scientists to come up with some major studies and an actual diagnosis for this phenomenon where grown adult men throw childlike tantrums over other people online criticizing a TV show that they like. absolute madness.

Sigh.

bringing characters like zava and jack into this show has only taken away from the main cast. i don't understand those decisions. and yes, this was a down episode after a pretty good episode last week. not very many laughs, plus too much after school special stuff going on considering how few episodes are left.

also, for all of the virtue signaling in that episode, it was pretty strange that they had jack ogle the male celebrity with the big dick, meanwhile the main theme of the hour long episode is, "men are pigs who are disgusting for ogling released nudes of famous women", replete with a big, strong, premier league center back demanding that his entire team delete every photo and video of their ostensibly female exes, including a q&a on which photos you're allowed to keep of your female ex, with the "obvious" answer being 'none.' what a strange episode that was. pretty much just one minute of alluding to richmond winning matches, followed by 59 minutes of gratuitously shaming men. this for me was probably the worst episode of the series.

Yea it wasn't the most entertaining episode but there was some tension set in motion to resolve over next four weeks.  The fact we know that this is ending (well or at least this arc, though I think the whole thing is ending) helps create a bit of that.

1.  Still really don't know what will happen with Keely relationship-wise.  Hell, there was a brief moment where I was thinking "she gonna fall back into it with Jaimie?"  Then he couldn't spell password.  Roy showed concern as well and then he fucked it up.  And I guess in theory Jack didn't say "no" though pretty sure she sealed her fate with Keely.

2.  Nate and Jade moved things along.  He's still awkward as hell but you can clearly see him turning back.  The fact his version of the Diamond Dawgs didn't work (not really because of how he approached it, more of who he was with) probably only makes him long for that environment more.  Still, while you saw the conflict with the texts from Rupert he hasn't totally broken free yet.

3.  Don't think that trip to Paris was all Michelle hoped for.  Maybe good for Ted, maybe not.

Jade is going to force Nate to be more true to himself and end up leaving West Ham. Him not really caring about Ted being at the match but having to act like he was grateful to Rupert was clearly the continuation of him questioning his professional gig and persona, starting with seeing Rupert cheating on Bex and the failed West Ham diamond dogs.

I used to believe this, but now think he stays at West Ham but makes up with the gang.  He will be in the stands with girlfriend during a Richmond match.

Also glad they didn't have Keely immediately jump into the arms of another after her fight.

Doctor selfie was weird.

Did Rebecca ever tell Ted what she found out from the PI?  Did I miss that?

She told Ted he shouldn't bother worrying about it.  And he listened to her.  "Da Boss" is always right.

I wonder if Doc proposed and she said no, or she thought he would and he didnt, causing the awkwardness getting in the cab.

True tits rule all. Something about her teeth and always showing them plus skinnier.  Gollum vibes.

high school boys are terrible, grown men act like high school boys and are terrible, men are pigs who sexualize women and then demonize them for being sexualized, nobody wants to spend time with old white men...i think, *i think* i might be picking up on the theme of this episode.

i haven't watched it yet but regarding the negative feedback on this page, i did see on my feed that the episode was partly written by my favorite all time british woman keeley hazell.  i did not know my favorite all time british woman was a writer.

i'll just leave that there.

Is hamsterhookah Derka's dad or something? How can anybody read this stream of consciousness nonsense and think "yes, I agree and am glad somebody wrote that"?

there goes derka making the thread all about him again!

it's also hilarious that like half the posts regarding last night's episode are just out and saying it sucked, yet you see someone pos rep one of my posts and your natural conclusion is, "he must be related to derka to agree with him." you guys are weird.

now that i look at it, HH didn't rep or comment on anything i said last night. but uh, great post there buddy. you talked some ad hominem shit to me as well as another poster who has nothing to do with anything, you said nothing about the show, and you've derailed the thread again. but yeah, that dang ole derka sure does ruin this thread with his need to make it all about him!

You're getting a Beard pegging episode. Relax and enjoy it.

With god as my witness, I had no idea lesbians wore the same under clothes as my grandfather.  Also Jack needs to eat a hamburger or two so her ribs don't stick out farther than her tits.

I've noticed that this season, Keeley seems to be dressing a lot more girly than she has in the past - pink everything, big pink headbands, etc. She's always been feminine but her style was previously more sexy/grown-up. Which is funny because I think they've shown more of her making out with Jack than they ever did with Roy or Jamie.

Nate's storyline has been so inconsistent this season. In the past few episodes it's like they've forgotten he ever turned into an asshole. Him and Jade make no sense together - I get that he frequents her restaurant and she felt sorry for him when the supermodel ditched him, but I still feel like they went from 0 to 60.

A lot of the overall storylines don't make a lot of sense to me anymore, but I've found that I still like the show for the characters - Roy still makes me laugh with his grumpiness, Jamie isn't such a dick anymore and is just a big dumb sweet teddy bear, Trent is a great addition to the Diamond Dogs, and Keeley and Rebecca's relationship is still the best one on the show. Ted Lasso night is a bright spot in my week, for sure.

This show has a few interesting characters, but no interesting stories anymore.  Some episodes have no real stories at all.  It has achieved a level of nothingness that Seinfeld could only dream about.  Writers can’t be troubled with including things like antagonists or obstacles for the characters to overcome.  It’s like porn but instead of sex it tricks your brain into feeling like you spent time with friends.

What if....Barbara IS Higgins.  I said earlier that it seems like Keely is in a bit of a potential pre-show Rebecca situation.

Recall back to the beginning of the show, Higgins KNEW what Rupert had been doing.  What if Barbara has trooped around with Jack before and knows the bit but instead of doing what Higgins does because Keely has tried to treat her well (whereas Rupert would have never done that with Leslie) she saves Keely

Just spitballing

what a crazy twist that nobody saw coming because nobody gives a shit.

ok, where to begin.

1. juno temple (keeley) was never hot.  she's little and wears tight clothes.  she's 33 and looks like she's 40+ and she wasn't hot 15 years ago when she was in year one with jack black.  no idea how she dated two football stars.  we've all seen photos of the chicks those guys pull.

2. i liked the way they handled isaac finding out colin was gay.  it's realistic to show that people need to process new information.

3. the idea of creating a 12 episode season seems to have been too much for this writing team, especially considering it's the last season, assuming that's correct.

most of the episodes are good, and lots of scenes are good, but most of the continuing storylines are weak and in many cases, disappear.  it's like they have 12 different writers writing the episodes.  they should've done what they did last season and done a 10-episode story arc with 2 standalone episodes.  having 12 meant they needed to not only dig deeper into certain characters (crimm, colin) but add new ones (barbara, jack, jade, ted's son).  yes, i know a couple of those were in it previously, but barely spoke.

the home stretch needs to be about ted and the team.  i feel like ted lasso needs more ted lasso.

the nate/hostess story line is by the far the most bizarre and least believable storyline of this season. not only is it a played out trope that's been done a million times, but this iteration of it is just incompetently lazy writing. nate is a small, insecure, unattractive man who looks twice his actual age, and who has less than zero confidence, much less game. the hostess naturally sees him as a joke and is completely uninterested in him, until one day she sees him have a bad date, and the next day she's waking up in bed with him, just completely smitten by him, with zero reason given for this change whatsoever. it's impossible to believe in or care about.

speaking of change, S1 of this show is the most universally well received and beloved season of TV that i've ever witnessed. in that light, the show's decision to change so many of its main characters is just baffling.

•Nate has gone from lovable upstart to unfounded heel turn right back to being someone who is supposed to be a sympathetic character, because reasons

•Jamie has gone from your typical self absorbed, superstar soccer player who only cares about himself to some sort of self aware, thoughtful, essentially perfect person

•Roy has seen his lines go way down despite the episodes doubling in length, and he too has gone from this finished product of a man to this wonderful, thoughtful, more caring/positive person, because reasons

•Rupert has gone from the main antagonist (aside from rebecca, who is now also bff's with everyone and super happy and supportive and different from he S1 chatacter) to someone who essentially isn't even on the show anymore

•hell, even the three perpetually angry soccer hooligan dudes from the bar are now just full of positivity and belief

never seen a show be so overwhelmingly popular only to fundamentally change most of its main characters, sometimes multiple times. and the only reason for this constant change seems to be "our characters all need to be great, warm, loving people." super disappointing after the magic of season one.

Take your grievances to the love hounds.

speaking of, it makes no sense for Nate to ask Rupert to take part in that when he’s busy hiding his emotion from him at all other times as one of the few conflicts left.
