Y'all remember in the old APD bookings photo thread how it seemed like half the criminals were cockeyed?

I'm going to start giving a lot more credence to the old adage that "eyes are windows to the soul."

Fuck, you’re right.

It's so easy to fact check these idiots.  One example:  "40-year record inflation".  Here is a chart of inflation over the past 40 years, and I'm no math wizard (well, maybe), but it sure seems we're damn close to the norm over that time frame:

Since one of the South American countries is dealing f with 110% inflation, it seems fair to adjust the y axis scale to capture the entirety of the worldwide inflation. So change that from -4 to 10, to -4 to 120 and let’s see the real scale of the issue.

Republicans have a persecution complex. Economically, it manifests in a false belief others are conspiring to take all their hard earned money. It’s false  because it ignores the contributions of others in society that helped them or allowed them to earn their money. By ignoring this truth, they believe themselves a victim, and thus are justifiably upset when taxed or money is spent.

I remember this.

here’s a bit of Forsyths history: https://www.11alive.com/amp/article/news/investigations/the-reveal/forsyth-county-lynching-memorial-to-go-up/85-e9e16326-36d5-4c3b-abfd-e76f9b0a793a

The demographics of the county have changed significantly since 1987. It’s now almost 20% Asian. Still only 4% black but that’s a lot higher than it used to be.

Also, selfishness is a big part of it. Freedom in their mind is the ability to do what you want regardless of consequences. The idea of an organized community working towards improvement for the whole is in conflict with the value of self and that individuals freedom.

Over the course of decades, the GOP and its billionaire-backed think tanks successfully reframed freedom as a primarily economic issue. To be free meant corporations had the right to do whatever the fuck they wanted, without interference from laws or regulations.

Of course, that’s some stupid fucking bullshit that isn’t good for anyone except the wealthy. But guess who can afford to buy the opinions of academics, judges, and the media?

Your graph is wrong, it’s showing 1983 as 40 years ago. Pretty sure the 80s are always about 20 years ago.

had to give you the cycle.  also, i'm mad at you for reminding me how old i am.

I believe their motivations are more twisted than that. They cannot bring themselves to acknowledge that there are classes of people in this country who are legitimate victims systemic discrimination. In a very disordered way, they are jealous and resentful of the fact that their attempts to paint themselves as beleaguered victims of systems they mostly created, have no resonance outside of their orbit. That these people actually want to be victims underscores just how much they don’t understand what it’s like to be truly victimized. Again, it’s this manufactured toxic admixture of nostalgia and grievance than drives them.

Tonight, in about 500 households across her district there are high schoolers and middle schoolers alike trying to explain to their parents what's on their screen when they clicked open MTG's newsletter as a summer-break assignment for extra credit to follow a Georgia politician online and give a briefing to the class when school resumes.  And the furious parents who no doubt knuckle-dragged their inbred asses to the polls to vote for her will assume the Hunter schlong photos are a grooming attempt by the left to co-opt their child.  Upon further inspection though, they'll see where the email came from and go to bed so fucking confused tonight.

If you're bored in the car tomorrow or have to take a long shit, I highly recommend calling her DC or District office and ask for media/press relations or the Deputy Chief of Staff.  For some strange reason, they'll either take your call immediately or phone you back within 24 hours.  I don't know what it is about working for her, but none of the people in her orbit ever seem to be in on the joke that is their professional life.

202-225-5211 -or- 706-226-5320

Say you're either with Texas Monthly or a concerned voter in zip code 30722.  You were shocked to find an official newsletter in your child's inbox with pornographic photos.  And you are reporting this to Georgia law enforcement as well as the House Ethics Committee.  They'll give the defense of, "While the photos were not intended to be viewed by minors, the Congresswoman asserts that if Hunter Biden hadn't made these lewd videos and photos, then no children would have seen them."  You know that legal defense that has never once stood up in court when a groomer or pedophile was on trial for showing pornographic images to a minor child.  "If I'm not supposed to show them to children, why did the actors/models record the images in the first place?  They're the ones at fault here!"  Works really well for giving alcohol or drugs to minors, too.

All the shady and stupid shit she's done over the last few years, including pipe bombing her workplace.......that she might be done in by a Biden Cock 'n Balls would be a sliver of hope that maybe the simulation can throw us a bone every now and again ;)

50 Former US Intelligence officials have claimed the laptop and its contents are all Russian interference.

The Russians are our close friends and would never do anything to destabilize our elections or incite our citizens (especially the very stupid of them).
