Republicans claim to be like Jesus, but really they are like God from the Old Testament.

Christian leaders long ago decided they’re the same guy.

Both of y'all. Jewish folks might want a word. I don't think Danya would take kindly to having the OT given to Republicans.

I don't recognize MTG's  religion as any more real than the color of her hair. She is no more familiar with the God of Abraham than she is with the Jesus of William Barber and Fr. Jim.

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2021/06/marjorie-taylor-greene-apologizes-for-holocaust-gaffe.html

Quote

By her own account in a press availability today, Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has been “bothered for a couple of weeks” by the “mistake” she made in comparing mask mandates and COVID-19 vaccine mandates to the Holocaust. This happened after she toured the U.S. Holocaust Museum earlier in the day and apparently learned that there is “nothing comparable” to a catastrophe in which “six millions Jewish people were murdered,” along with “Black people, Christians, and all kinds of people” whom the “Nazis didn’t believe were good enough.”

Quote

Now to be clear, Greene’s apology was abject and unconditional, and that is a good thing. But she is not some random “normal person.” She is a United States representative. It is more than a bit astonishing that it took a trip to a museum for her to grasp the nature and unique horror of an event that literate people understand as the most catastrophic occurrence of the century in which she was born. After all, she was widely condemned, by Jewish groups and even the leaders of her own congressional caucus, for her remarks on May 22. Yet she doubled down on them in an equally ignorant statement identifying Democrats with Nazis, while whining about being blindsided by her Republican critics.

Quote

Now perhaps Greene is contrite about some aspects of her recent remarks, but she’s not much better educated — willing to admit a gaffe but not her general ignorance. If she thinks the Holocaust (as opposed to the slavery and Jim Crow systems of the country, region, and state she calls home) killed a lot of Black people (as opposed to Roma, LGBTQ people, and, yes, socialists and communists), she didn’t spend enough time at the museum to justify a public statement, which was both too shallow and far too late.

Greene actually has a lot to apologize for in her brief and unaccomplished political career. So far, unless I’ve missed something, she’s apologized for promoting QAnon madness, for doubting the reality of school shootings, and now misappropriating the memory of the Holocaust. She’ll probably say five more things that are offensive and howlingly uninformed before she retracts the last one. I profoundly hope her most questionable comment in the apology presser was: “I’m very much a normal person.” If that’s true, we’re all in deep trouble.

Marjorie Taylor Greene. The word concept derives from Latin (of which I have no background so you Latin peeps check in here) and I believe the word, conceptus/conceptum which means something conceived. Originally, to take sperm into the womb, or in the modern way--to take an idea into the mind. So here we have Rep. Greene discussing Plan B, something which prevents conception and discussing the pharmaceutical contraception pill as though it were an abortifacient while the irony of her having consistently aborted every factual knowledgeable scientific thought from her mind is not lost on listeners.

My god, the amount of Plan B her mother would eat, drink, snort, shoot, and shove up her ass and vagina if she knew what her daughter would grow up to be like.  Shit, I bet her dad would shove some Plan B in the tip of his dick, just as a show of solidarity.

Sharp as a tack, AOC is. Also, calling AOC not American is not unusual for the RW, but the further dehumanizing is going to get worse so be prepared to push back.

Why does the GOP attract a disproportionate number of dumb narcissists?

How is this lady allowed to keep holding public office? How has the Republican party not denounced her by now? It’s just nuts she says this shit and nobody on the right says stfu.

The people running the Republican Party circa 2021 are as irrational, ignorant, and ignominious as Marge.

It's a personality cult.

They can't let the libs "win" literally anything. No matter how obvious and non-partisan it should be.

Wrong thread, Brakeman. Better than MTG though....

Real talk -- I grew up in the 80s and 90s (in terms of social sentience) and shit like this would've gotten you shitcanned as a politician or from any other public role back THEN. It's so incredibly amazing how far we've regressed as a society and culture within the space of the last 5 years. Just blows my mind to contemplate.

The rare octuple "wrong thread" extravaganza

Knew a woman who had the rare octuple extravaganza.  Vagina like you wouldn't believe.  Imagine 8 shriners getting out with tiny little hats on with their little cars.

So much this. And just because it appears in cartoon form doesn’t necessarily make it funny. Try exercising a little discretion. Jesus. (I’ve been holding that in for awhile. It feels good to get it off my chest.)
