Hey Tiffany,  I think we're alone now.  The beating of my dong is the only sound.

Wow, this fucking lunatic lives in that kinda house and we had to learn about her behavior from Carrot Top?  Yeah, tell me again about the man in the sky ruling over us humans and that we're not part of a fucking computer simulation.

For shits 'n giggles, you can look up Tiffany's primary voting habits, political donations, and a number of official police complaints made about her.  That she sees invisible people in the backs of commercial airliners is the least of our worries.  Wait until you find out what kind of military grade shit she tried to purchase.  $10,000 cash says she's either blowing one of you to stay outta trouble or school board vice-chair by this time next year.

seriously, this broad is a fucking thorough nutjob and how she got on a fucking commercial airline is beyond me.  I'm still holding a grudge from being put on a "high-alert" list in 2005 because I was visiting my mom in Chicago.  And my flight to Columbus for the Ohio State game got cancelled.  So I bought a one-way ticket that morning to meet my friend in Columbus but it set off all kinda red flags so I had to spend an hour being questioned and searched in secondary security.  Probably didn't help I was still shitfaced drunk from the night before closing down some 4am bars with my cousins.

Flash-forward a few years later, and I think I've told this story on this thread, I was flying out west for work and opened the aft lavatory to see one dude sniffing blow off another dude's dick. in the throes of passion they forgot to lock the door while digging around for the baggie and boners.  For what felt like days, but probably 7 minutes of flight time, I thought I imagined the whole thing due to being a bit outta sorts on vodka and xanax as I was wont to do on long-flights.  But did I freak out and scream "The fake men in the bathroom are doing sexy drug things and they aren't real but I can see them and you must acknowledge me!"???  No I did not, I gathered myself, calmly walked back to my seat, the two gentlemen emerged to prove their existence, nodded to me, sent me two cocktails on their tab, I watched some HBO shows, and slowly accepted that they were real but everything else I've ever known is a computer simulation.  And I just have to accept it as my 13th step.  Also, I've heard from people in the industry that he's a super nice guy, but if I ever see Carrot Top on an airplane with that insane hair and jacked up muscle mass---I'm gonna do blow off my own dick before jumping outta the fucking plane.

The more words we use, the better the AI behind the simulation gets at replicating us.  And the faster it takes over and we can just fucking end this.

Plus I think in a weird way I'm making up for lost time in the air during Covid.  You always wanted to be in my row on a flight.  I didn't talk at all, I have broad shoulders but I tried to compensate by sitting in the window seat leaning into the little window carve-out (based on exhaustive journaling of which type of equipment's rows had the window placed towards the back of the row where you could lean into it).  And I just handed over my card to the flight attendant, and just graciously said, "if anyone in our row would like anything, my treat."  Yeah, sometimes a 5:45a flight, there wasn't much demand for wine---but we try not to judge at altitude.  I still get nervous through turbulence, can't help it even if I know mentally we're gonna be fine.  But over the last few years, there have been people losing their minds and assaulting flight attendants, that woman crawling along the luggage bins whilst screaming, people seeing pretend hijackers who aren't really there, dudes snoring eight balls off balls, and I've helped subdue two different unruly asshats before I realized..."We're not gonna crash, but one of these people is probably gonna freak the fuck out again and I'm gonna get secondary tasing because of them and go into cardiac arrest.  Hallelujah, holy shit...where's the Tylenol?"  It's fucking nuts up there now and I don't have the drugs and alcohol thing to fall back on anymore.  I dunno, is there some alternative to xanax that y'all recommend?   Thank you for flying...

The stuff that leads to comatose and suicide?  Thanks man.  I know we all like to give each other a hard time on here, and I'm deserving of some shit...but isn't that the stuff like the 7th leading cause of death in America?

I do need to find something though.  I'm good for about 2 hours but with no alcohol and the fact I can't sleep, I can't do long flights like I used to.  But I can't pop two Tylenol PM's because that knocks you out for like 6-8 hours.  I need some happy medium like 3-5 hours.

I think if you do it, the software gets a glitch or runs outta power so we not 'sposed to do it.  I dunno.  We convinced a guy who was stealing from our company to do it awhile back and I felt bad about it for a little while.  So maybe we really do feel human emotions.  Hard to say given commercial air travel these days.  I mean, it's just fucking nuts up there lately.  I guess I hadn't flown sober in like 20 years, but it's a fucking leper colony above the clouds.

I was not aware that generic xanax is the 7th leading cause of death.  Learn something new every day.

Now hold on. Who here HAS NOT spent an unexpected night in jail in Dallas at least once in their life?

That's what I thought.

Season 5 No GIF by The Office

Yeah, cheeseseasel's right.  Shouldn't tell it.  This thread just reminds me of how we're finally acknowledging mental illness in our country,  And that's a good thing.  But every "random act of kindness" video you see online where somebody helps a distraught person just get through the day with empathy and christ-like love...there are 50 videos of people freaking the fuck out on airplanes, grocery stores, and lines at Chipotle.

I was connecting through Atlanta once and an older lady was weeping and telling the gate agent across the walkway from me that she's only flown a few times in her life and got confused and missed her connecting flight to Florida to see her grandchildren.  Gate   agent told her "tough shit, last flight is booked solid.  You can stay here tonight and we'll see what we can do tomorrow."  Before I could even process what was happening, fellow  business traveler slides over, plunks down his triple super platinum Delta card and tells the agent, "Whatever she needs to get on that next flight."  Agent replies, "Sir, there's only a first class seat and it'll cost you 50,000 miles (or whatever it was, I forget the details but I remember it was a lot, way more than I Had)"  Man says, "Then it's done!"  Grandma thanks him but probably didn't grasp how much it probably cost that guy in miles plus the transfer fee, but got on the plane with a smile.  My faith in human kindness redeemed, I walked over to Hudson News to get a paper and a tea.  And I saw a guy inhaling a Cinnabon puke it all out over the trash bin.  And figured, "Yep, simulation always evens out in the end..."

I'd like the think the guy ended up getting medical assistance, the grandma made it see her kids in Florida, the nice samaritan got a handjob from his mistress, and I woke up in Miami just sober enough to not charge hotel porn to my company card but probably did.  It's a real "flight disrupting asshole thread" badge of honor to attempt to explain to your wife and managing partner that yes.  yes you did indeed spend $17.95 on "in-room entertainment" just 3.7 minutes prior to renewing your Netflix subscription.

I might have said so too, but the map says "Lakewood" right there, and it's like 200 feet from Lakewood Park.

That's definitely Lakewood. West of Abrams, then it's more iffy. But everything from Williamson Rd to Abrams is Lakewood proper.

Did we miss this?

Comedian Carrot Top claimed he was aboard the plane when the viral incident happened.

'The f–king nutjob just lost her mind in front of the whole plane,' he said.

Carrot Top had previously shared the incident on social media, writing: 'I hope she's happy!!! We're all stuck in Dallas now because of her.'

He said the woman was upset because she 'lost her earbud,' but did not elaborate.

'I hope you're having a relaxing evening behind bars in Dallas Texas and hope you enjoyed your little stunt,' the comedian said on Instagram.

'Five hours later we're here in Orlando,' Carrot Top added. 'I missed the fireworks and everything tonight.'

I bet when the flight attendant told her crew mate that Carrot Top was on the plane, she spelled it “on b-o-r-e-d.”

Certainly south of Bob-o-Link is Lakewood proper, but growing up over there we didn't really think of the the neighorhood between Bob-o-Link and Mockingbird as Lakewood, because everything between there and Sondra West of Sperry was 1970's infill.
I can't remember what we called it, but we didn't think of it as Lakewood.
I also recall people didn't really use the term "Lakewood heights" in the 70s and 80s, but referred to it as "the trashy part" or "the bad part" of Lakewood.

Someone having a clear mental health crisis/actually being insane is imo way less entertaining than some entitled dickhead adamantly proclaiming they won’t be removed and then crying when the police come. The staying power of the “not real” lady in this thread and generally across the internet is interesting.

Thing is, I think most of these people are "mental" one way or another.  Some more floridly than others.

I have always been a little uneasy about making fun of these people.  Even the racists.  If you accept that racism is a combination of instinct and learned behavior that requires higher-order thinking to overcome, and then accept that these people have highly disordered thinking, moreso than your average racist, it's troubling.

We're a sensationalistic, voyeuristic society. Popularity of shows like Big Brother, Love Island and The Bachelor/ette series baffle me.

The "not real" lady should have never been doxxed. Who gives a crap how much her house cost?

Mental breakdown/illness doesn't have an income cut-off and our leaders, and society in general, allows us to have a mental healthcare desert (at least in Texas) so even for those with means,  it can be difficult to access mental health services. I'm not sure how many more "episodes" like this happen now versus 10 years ago but we all have a portable video device on us 24/7 so it's all going out into accessible media. But anxiety and depression among those under 40 has rapidly increased.
