They're going to read your posts in the game threads.

It's been awhile, basically since before Elon decided to monetize rage and clickbait posting, and handed out blue checks for $8.99, but Twitter used to be a decent spot for when big events happened.   Now it is pure trash.   Then our president basically hires twitter trolls to run the government, good times.

This photo is a test for the American people.

I have no idea about the motives of the Dallas shooter. Maybe he was against ICE and is just the biggest bumblefuck idiot shooter and killed the wrong people. Maybe their will be legitimate, concrete info he is a "Communist leftist".

But Occam's Razor leads to this being evidence tampering. Nothing about it makes sense. If he was a Tyler Robinson copycat, he wouldn't have written on just one casing. Kash Patel's tweets said it was "engraved". The LEO who first reported on this said, and I quote, the casings "contained messages that are anti-ICE in nature". Who could hear that, and then see the photo above, and not just laugh?

I hate this fucking world we live in. Just a constant assault on people's psyches filled with gaslighting, manipulation, and corruption on an hourly basis. They are out to get us all.

This is the most obviously fraudulent "evidence" since the Atlanta cops killed that guy at the cop city protests and then threw down a fucking S&W Military and Police model sidearm as a drop gun.

Run of the mill centrists don’t want to seem unreasonable, they’re usually too lazy to dig into the facts, and they aren’t willing to stick their necks out and get pwned by some uber-prepared Gish galloping liar. So they take whatever position falls in the middle of the two poles. Because the Right now resides in straight-up fascist land and the establishment Left is clinging to the spectral territory centrist Republicans owned in the 70s, these reasonable, agreeable types end up defaulting to a position well into rightwing territory. All because they’re lazy and afraid of appearing biased. So to maintain their sense of self as an Inoffensive Centrist, they allow fascists to drag them away from logic, facts, and empathy.

Lazy, cowardly fucks.

And that, my friends, is how the Overton window keeps shifting reichward.

Back from scouting lakes. What great weather!

shooter’s name  is allegedly Joshua Jahn? This whole thing is mother fucking weird. So I assume Dallas PD takes the lead?
Will we ever learn the identities of the victims/detainees? This is just really weird and others mentioned I try to stay grounded into not seeing everything as a conspiracy.
the ICE Deputy is saying they found bullets throughout the entire facility? And that the building itself was targeted if I am hearing that right. The detainees were to be processed and then moved to a long term detainment facility.

bullets allegedly punctured the entire building according to Ice Deputy Director. Fwiw

That’s the name I’ve seen and right wing Facebook is already flooding the zone with “communist” and “leftist” evidence for this guy. His mom (or both parents) are supposedly very liberal according to them as well.

I've only seen that name posted in the NY Post, The Economic Times, and a few other Indian sites. Absolutely nothing elsewhere, despite it being repeated in DT. Like I said over there, I found someone by that name on FB who looks like he's roughly the right age, but there's absolutely zero political content that can be seen in public. Just some baby and family photos. If you have a decent source, post it.

Edit: Let me also add for those who haven't been over there, the guy has a photograph showing the City of Anna on it, so he's from the Metroplex.

CNN is I suppose a decent source? I don’t know these days as they do get a lot of things wrong early in investigations. I was driving home listening to Sirius XM. That is the name I heard on CNN. Local Fox affiliate in Dallas also running with the same name. Don’t know much about the shooter other than he is dead. And killed innocent people. Just thought the name sounded made up. I guess not.

Thanks. I'm only going off what I've seen published on legit news sites like NYTimes, the AP, etc., by googling that name, which certainly isn't exhaustive. I don't think I've visited the CNN site in quite a while.

Gotcha. My info just came from what I heard radio wise. Everything is always such a fucking mess early on in these deals which we should all be sadly and disgustingly used to by now.

There's an unfortunate trend of news outlets repeating news from another outlet and presenting it as their own reporting. It gives the appearance of a single source being authoritative. It was the same mechanism used to incite the Jan6 riot, since everyone was reposting the same disinformation it just HAD to be correct (if you're a useful idiot)

You’d think they’d get this fixed but they are like a car wash. Frustrating as shit.

LE appears to be all over a neighborhood in Fairview. Where I suppose the shooter may have lived (likely with his parents. A common theme with these losers.) looks like a large house to me. Maybe it’s because I’m personally poor.

Tens if not hundreds of millions of rifles were made in WWII (8MM Mauser included, it was the standard Heer cartridge). I don’t know how many mid-century oddities I’ve seen, usually held by collectors who believe they have something special. A nut who fired wildly at a government facility using some strange old thing that was likely lying around at home seems the least weird part of this.

Quote

NBC News spoke to Noah Jahn before he had gotten word that his brother was identified as the shooter. Noah described his brother as “unique” without elaborating. But he said Joshua was not one he would have ever thought would be involved in a politically motivated shooting.

“I didn’t think he was politically interested,” Noah Jahn said. “He wasn’t interested in politics on either side as far as I knew.”

The Jahn siblings grew up in Allen, Texas, where they participated in the Boy Scouts. Noah said his brother had done coding work but was currently unemployed and was planning to move onto their parents’ property in Oklahoma.

Noah Jahn said his parents owned a rifle, and Joshua knew how to use it.

But “he’s not a marksman, that’s for sure,” Noah said. “He would not be able to make any shots like that.”

There is plenty of surplus of this stuff floating around. Plus, we don’t know for sure yet.

I suppose after a fashion you can use a stripper clip to load any box mag rifle, but rifles designed to use them are comparatively rare, usually military, and usually antiques or nearly so.

Between the essential cheapness of military surplus after the war, and inflation, I don't doubt it.

I believe Oswald purchased that Mannlicher-Carcano 20 years after for like $13.  I've seen old ads with similar ridiculous pricing for Moisins etc.

Here's my question...

Is Schlotzsky's really still a thing?  Damn I used to love that place, but haven't seen or heard about one in ages.

Is that a real picture? That is an absurd number of cops.

Just set some fireworks on a timer near this place, then go rob all the banks in Dallas while every cop withing 50 miles is assisting with this ICE investigation...

Wait, there's an ICE facility off the highway between Schlotzky's and FedEx Office?

Digging around, this seems to be an "ERO" office.  Which means Enforcement and Removal Operations.  It's not a detention facility, per se.

If the place was crawling with either detainees or officers, why not target them individually?  I suppose there's an issue of competence.

But the guy sprayed a building, apparently, assuming he was going to hit either detainees or officers at random.  Turns out he just hit detainees.

Maybe that's what he intended?

NYTimes's update has details about the facililty:

image.png.9a5d42d29799049b9739e4a8bf57b031.png
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/24/us/dallas-texas-ice-facility.html?smid=url-share

The building that was targeted by a gunman early this morning is the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Dallas field office, a facility that is part office building and part processing center for immigrant detainees. The majority of the building is used by ICE employees for administrative work, with desks and cubicles for deportation officers. Some immigrants who are not detained will also appear here for things like check-in appointments or to post bond.

The other part of the building is used to process detainees who have been arrested and are being booked into ICE custody. The shooter, a sniper who opened fire from a nearby rooftop, fired indiscriminately, including at a van in an entrance area on the side of the building where the victims were shot, the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement.

An immigrant detainee refers to a person in the custody of either ICE or U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Detainees at the Dallas ICE field office, where the shooting occurred, are typically in the process of being booked into ICE custody or transferred elsewhere. Detainees are not housed at this building long term.

Detainees who are brought to the building will undergo fingerprinting, a biometric screening and any necessary paperwork. After, they will either be released or be held in the building’s “hold room,” a small waiting area with three or four cells where immigrants who are awaiting transfer are held. Most detainees will spend less than 24 hours in the building.

More than 8,400 people have spent time in the hold room at the Dallas ICE field office since President Trump took office, according to data from the Deportation Data Project through July. The hold room has held, on average, about 55 people a day who are awaiting transfer to a long-term ICE detention facility.

Eric Folkerth, the senior pastor at a Methodist church in Dallas, spends time outside the building regularly as a leader of an interfaith prayer vigil that takes place there every Monday. The vigil is typically silent, Rev. Folkerth said, and attendees hold signs demanding justice for the detainees. Rev. Folkerth condemned the shooting. From the beginning, he said, his group has prayed both for immigrants and for ICE agents, “that they not cause moral or physical harm to themselves and others.”
