You don’t have to think that’s the play. It’s the play. Most of what the GOP focuses on when it comes to elections is finding ways to get fewer people to vote.

The well is dry for new MAGA voters, so yeah, it's about restricting voting on the left by whatever means possible.

I think (hope) there is a group of conservatives that sat 2020 out that maybe starting to see, a little late, the real danger Trump can be.    My Dad is one of them.  He is a life long Kemp/Bush republican that has never voted democrat.  He claims, and I trust him, that he voted for Trump in 2016 because "team" and trust in checks and balances, and left the president slot blank in 2020.

Just a tiny bump in apathy to get 2-5 million to stay home on Election Day and Biden's got made in the shade.

Just remind these types that more than a few of the 1st stringers who were around Trump in 2016/2020 now have criminal records, and/or are now testifying against Trump, which means Trump was not that bright in who he chose to surround himself with, and that the people around Trump now are the 2nd and 3rd stringers who are probably even more incompetent and corrupt than the first team, which means they'll be testifying against Trump in the future.

Does Trump forgive disloyalty?

He'd never really forgive, but if he's scared enough and viewed this as his only option to save his own ass from conviction and real recourse, he'd definitely use Tucker to get re-elected and get a pardon.  But he'd need to believe that there was no other alternative with a comparable chance of success.

Tucker launching his own streaming service. Expected to go live tomorrow.

https://apple.news/AVxnstkMWTjCXQtkS5PJHsA

Tucker Carlson is launching his own subscription streaming service, people familiar with the matter said, the former Fox News host’s official foray into paid content after months of posting videos on X.
The service, Tucker Carlson Network, is expected to go live on Monday, the people said. It will be home to at least five different shows by midweek, they said, including interviews, short-form videos and monologues.
Tucker Carlson Network, whose logo resembles a red pill, will cost $9 a month—or $72 a year—and will initially be solely available through Carlson’s website, they said. Some of the content will be available without a subscription and will be ad-supported, while some interviews and monologues will be available exclusively to subscribers, who will have access to that content without ads.
Carlson launched a show on X—then known as Twitter—in the spring, shortly after his acrimonious exit from Fox News. All his shows were posted as videos on the platform and were available without a subscription, including an interview with former president and current presidential candidate Donald Trump that was released at the same time as the first Republican primary debate, which Trump had skipped. All of that content will also be available on the service, one of the people said.

Carlson and his team explored launching TCN through X, but the company wasn’t able to move quickly enough to build out the technology they needed to run a subscription service, the people said.
X declined to comment.
Carlson will continue to post the service’s free content on X, the people said. His media company will also launch a new podcast, “The Tucker Carlson Podcast,” which will feature audio versions of that content.
Carlson’s team is exploring distributing the service through streaming-TV apps independently and through X, one of the people said.
Other big stars who have left TV have built thriving digital businesses, but sometimes with smaller audiences and less influence than they had before. The new service will face a crowded field of competitors, from news personalities on YouTube and Rumble to TV networks such as Fox News and Newsmax.
Former White House adviser Neil Patel will serve as the Tucker Carlson Network’s chief executive, the people said. Carlson and Patel were roommates at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., which they graduated from in 1991, and in 2010 teamed up to found the conservative Daily Caller news site, which Patel still controls.
Carlson’s former executive producer at Fox, Justin Wells, will serve as Tucker Carlson Network’s president and oversee all programming.
In recent months, Carlson and Patel lined up financiers, lawyers and media strategists to work on the new company, The Wall Street Journal previously reported. 1789 Capital, an investment firm that aims to capitalize on the opportunities that it sees left open by the “wokeness” of more traditional sources of capital, recently led a $15 million seed round into Carlson and Patel’s company, with other private investors, the Journal reported.
Red Seat Ventures, a company that has helped media personalities including former Fox News hosts Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly launch their own media businesses, is selling much of the advertising for TCN’s podcast, according to the people familiar with the matter. TCN also has an advertising deal with X, they said.
Carlson is planning to announce the launch of the new service during an interview with Kelly for her SiriusXM show Monday, the people said.
Carlson was the highest-rated host in prime-time cable news when his show was abruptly canceled by Fox News in April. The move came just days after Fox News parent Fox Corp.agreed to pay $787.5 million to settle its legal battle with Dominion Voting Systems, which had accused Fox’s news networks of airing false claims by hosts and guests that Dominion helped rig the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election in favor of Joe Biden.
Carlson remains under contract with Fox News, according to people familiar with the matter.
Fox News remains the top-rated cable news network. Its parent and the Journal’s parent share common ownership.

I bet Musk might have some thoughts about X not being as agile as he likes to claim.

Tucker is literally upset because.....during an existential war against fascist powers, the UK did not take kindly to an actual fascist party, which actually received actual financial support from the actual Nazi government - you know, the ones who were bombing Britain and wanted to invade it.....

That's certainly....a take.

Fucking fascists, man.  Hey Tucker, you might want to bitch about my family.  Because do you want to know what we did to fascists back in that era?  We shot them fucking dead.  Quite a few of them, per my grandfather's limited story.  Gosh, that seems unfair.  I mean, instead of letting those fascists have free rein, we KILLED them.  Shame on us.  Right, Tucker?

The American right is a fucking fascist party.  No half-measures, no doubt -- they are unabashedly fascist.  Fuck around, find out, fascists.

Fuck Tucker, but he's right in that we don't want a war with Iran. I have no qualms about him calling out known warmongers.

The proxies are fair game, if likely a futile exercise of whack-a-mole.

We don't want no part of invading Iran, but we could bomb the shit out of them for a while to let 'em know who's boss.

Here’s hoping the windows in his hotel room are secure, would be a shame if he “accidentally” fell out of one.

Nah, Russian state TV loves him and the propaganda he pushes.  Thankfully his audience has dropped since he got booted from Fox News.

From Candace Owens' perspective, what is going to be incredible?

Outside of the fact that she's a total spare, this is the question that needs to be asked.  Apparently, she's thrilled that Tucker is in Moscow.  Why?

As I mentioned on the Ukraine thread, after the war U.S. forces kept Ezra Pound in an open-air cage in Italy……

Wow.

Quote

During World War II, Pound recorded hundreds of paid radio propaganda broadcasts for the Italian government, including in German-occupied Italy, in which he attacked the United States Federal Government, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Great Britain, international finance, munitions makers, arms dealers, Jews, and others, as abettors and prolongers of the war. He also praised both Eugenics and the Holocaust in Italy, while urging American GIs to throw down their rifles and surrender. In 1945, Pound was captured by the Italian Resistance and handed over to the U.S. Army's Counterintelligence Corps, who held him pending extradition and prosecution based on an indictment for treason. He spent months in a U.S. military detention camp near Pisa, including three weeks in an outdoor steel cage. Ruled mentally unfit to stand trial, Pound was incarcerated for over 12 years at St. Elizabeths psychiatric hospital in Washington, D.C., whose doctors viewed Pound as a narcissist and a psychopath, but otherwise completely sane.

From Anti-Trump to Team Trump - After dropping out of college, Owens became CEO of Degree180, a website which included, among other things, a blog focused on taking down then-candidate Donald Trump. Under Owens’ leadership, the publication consistently bashed him at every turn. One article was titled, “Does Donald Trump Actually Have A Small Penis?” The piece concluded that “Donald Trump most likely has a penis the size of an infant.”

I'm assuming she means "penis the size of an infant's penis" and not a Hunter Biden baby arm penis.

Was it "The Nutty Professor" with eddie Murphy?  Candace as an old woman, sitting around the extended family dinner table, "Tucker Carlson, only white man make me moist..."
