Dick will get in line, because Tucker isn't the only fellator here.  Trump gargled Putin's balls this week.  The party line has been set.  The leader of the party supports Russia and Putin, the rest of the party will fall in line.

They may, but the more likely broadcast to pair up would be OANN because they have actual Russian ties.

Don't let the white part scare you.  That ain't the problem.  The real worry for tenable, sustainable democracy is what's behind the White.

Functional Retardation.  We gotta a whole lotta institutional stupidity to liquidate in this country.  And only two ways to do it.  And they both cross ethnic/racial lines.  1/3rd of the 74 million are beyond recovery.

Wait wut. Is he calling himself an American traitor and/or Kremlin agent?

At least Matt Taibbi has had a modicum of decency to half way apologize for lying to his followers about Putin’s intention to invade. Greenwald is too full of himself to ever admit wrong.

From the LA Times:

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2022-02-24/ukraine-russia-vladimir-putin-tucker-carlson-laura-ingraham-fox-news

The conflict in Ukraine and backpedaling were the main themes of Tucker Carlson’s show Thursday after the Fox News host was slammed for defending Russian President Vladimir Putin, and dragging U.S. President Joe Biden, in the lead-up to Russia’s invasion of the Eastern European nation.

“I don’t think anybody approves of what Putin did yesterday,” he said. “I certainly don’t.”

By primetime Thursday, Carlson had changed his tune: “Vladimir Putin started this war,” he said. “He is to blame tonight for what we’re seeing tonight in the Ukraine.” Then he quickly pivoted. “The question is ... how should the United States respond to what he has done? Within minutes of the outbreak of the war last night the usual liars on television began leveraging this tragedy for partisan political gain ... it’s contemptible. But we’re going to ignore that tonight and talk about what matters.”

As much as Carlson wanted folks to ignore his previous week (OK, five years) of blowing kisses at Russia’s strongman, his love letters were scattered about social media. Russian state media reportedly aired his flattering commentary with subtitlesto show Putin’s subjects how Americans really feel, as well as an article titled, “Tucker Carlson wonders why U.S. elites hate Putin.”

"That same evening, Ingraham blamed the conflict on the “weakness and the incompetence” of the Biden administration, a position echoed by a number of Republican elected officials, and called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky‘s desperate appeal for Putin to stop the attack a “pathetic display.” You read that correctly. She was mocking a last-ditch effort to save lives and country."

Ingraham going full goddamn Palpatine.

I want him to have hope.  And then to see his face when he abandons all hope.

You definitely wanna operate.  Sew his asshole shut and let him shit in an ill fitting colostomy the rest of his days.

Alright, this has been nagging me all week and I need it cleared up.  Is the country called  ‘Ukraine’ or ‘The Ukraine’ ?  Why do half the commentators say “the Ukraine” and others don’t?

Pre-91 it was The Ukraine - as in a region. Since independence the nation has declared Ukraine without ‘the.’

I wanna party with you next time I'm back in my hometown.  I mean, no ass-sewing.  But I'm up for anything else.

I googled it and it appears that the Ukrainian government discourages the use of "The Ukraine."

Then I googled around some more, and it looks like the Ukrainian language, similar to Russian, doesn't really use a word that means "the."

So, is complicated situation.

Using “the” implies it’s a territory and not an independent country. The sort of equivalent is:

“Na”= “on”- Russians who reject statehood either implicitly or explicitly say “on Ukraine.”

“V” = “In”- If you accept the country you say  “in Ukraine.”

To make it more weird, West Slavic languages say “on Ukraine” as a quirk of the language and it’s the only variant. Does not imply anything political.

I think it’s only referred to as “the Ukraine” when you’re playing Risk.

"Ukraine is game to you!?"

To reiterate what others have said, it's my understanding that to say "the Ukraine" indicates it's a region of Russia rather than a sovereign nation, which it has been since 1991. Therefore, you're supposed to say "Ukraine."

Here’s what I can say about Tucker Carlson and his pathetic backtracking.

Tucker is not a cum stain because that would imply some virility. Tucker is a pre-cum stain on the skid marked boxers of an incel watching incest shit porn in his mothers basement and then feeling guilty as soon as he reaches climax.

This is very helpful info.  Thanks.  So basically “the Ukraine” is s slur.  Kinda like aggy’s “TU” and therefore when a commentator uses it he is indicating her is likely a Putin apologist.

If I knew anyone that watched this shit I would definitely end up not knowing anyone who watched that shit.

The biggest problem is that his viewers probably believe that he wasn't supporting Russia even though he directly said he was.

I don't know how one would combat that shit.  You show them clips of him directly saying something,  then saying the opposite,  but they only believe the last information they were given...

I only pray that tucker ends up having them drink cool-aid, and they all go Jim Jones into history

You can't combat it.  Their brains are broken.  Just pray for a quick death.

Or else just that old habits die hard.  I caught myself calling it the Ukraine just yesterday after learning why I should drop the the just a few days earlier.

honestly, i don't even care if he's flip-flopping or back-pedaling, i just don't like when he's completely fucking lying.

in the swalwell clip he says, "last week, when we were told that sanctions would keep russia from invading, and that turned out to be false."

the us govt spent weeks telling the world the invasion was going to happen.  nobody said the sanctions would stop it, in fact, quite the opposite.  meanwhile, every day it didn't happen, the right was basically mocking biden like "ok joe, when is this big fancy invasion happening lol lol?!"

now that it's happening, and going about as well as it could go for ukraine, and the nations are rallying together against putin, tucker reverts to saying the invasion is all biden's fault because reasons.  now of course he's somehow sort of agreeing with biden's moves i guess?  the tweet said that but i'm not watching some long tucker clip.  no.

Well, that one's easy.

"It's such an awful thing to say.  We hesitated even to play that, it's very common, you hear it every day.  The question is 'why are they saying that?', it doesn't make sense."

". . . and why shouldn't I root for Russia, because I am."

It's the same rhetorical strategy re: covid as well. Misstate/overstate the opposition's stance, attack them for (fake) unrealistic hopes, and use that to justify further opposition against them "because you were wrong before!!"
