I’ve said it before to friends, the MAGA rise is because white America (the MAGA part) is afraid of becoming the minority

They have been afraid of being the minority for years. MAGA is the counter attack to restore white nationalism.

Why the fuck does Dean Cain appear on Fox and Friends? Grandparents don't know who Dean Cain is.

The "shut up and act" team always has superstars on like Cain, Scott Baio, and the oldest Home Improvement kid.  Surprised they dont have Roseanne on there. She is actually a star. They probably cant afford her asking price.

She's also a loose cannon.  You have her on enough, she will eventually say something over the top enough they need to back away from it or she will attack Trump or Congressional Republicans.  They need someone who will stay on script.

The German migrant thing exacerbated it too.  We've always been a melting pot, so there had been a grudging acceptance of it. The UK and France have always let a lot of people from their colonies come over, so there is grudging acceptance of that too.  Germany and Scandinavia were always the white nationalist hopes. Quietly though, there were already 3 million Turks in Germany before the latest migrant wave.  Southern Europe has always been too swarthy for white nationalists tastes. So who is left? Russia and Eastern Europe, so we shouldn't be surprised that our white nationalists are completely in bed with Putin.  In the past though, Anglo-German white nationalists weren't too fond of Slavic peoples so maybe that's progress?

It legit looks like a special olympics team shot behind him.  And I honestly do feel bad for saying that.

Well, when you put a handsome, well-known genius in the foreground, everybody else can't help but look a little slack-jawed and vacant. His beautiful shining brilliance makes all other lights look dim.

Clay Travis is like sports Tucker Carlson.  He's a piece of shit but you have to almost admire the grift.

This x10000. His sports takes have taken him nowhere so he's resorted to the "telling it like it is" conservative bent. He's the male version of Britt McHenry.

And his kids were kicked off a plane for having lice

I literally laughed out loud.

More 2 line humor/less 2000 line rants from you please.

Sure.  I do like to make the funnies.

Here's a little quip I've been working on:

Part I

In the endless void between the stars the mile-long form of a starship moved silently, its chalk-white surface in perfect contrast with the infinite night. The almost casual motion of this ship and its two escorts was quietly observed. Star Destroyers, a powerful front-line ship for the Galactic Empire, and a source of terror across its territory. The recent arms race with the guerrilla movement to overthrow their leadership had continued to push their weapons technology further. It is this short time right now when that Empire would be at its strongest, when they have their most advanced technologies and an intact chain of command.

“Yes,” said a voice with satisfaction, unconcerned with such physical limitations on sound in a vacuum. “This will do nicely.”

When those words were spoken, a change took place that was to be felt across the universe. In some parts of the galaxy, some special individuals noticed inexplicable feelings of uncertainty and dread. For the two remaining masters of the Force, each the polar opposite of his counterpart, it produced a disturbance unlike any they had ever experienced in their long lives. And while these two were wont to agree on anything, both could sense the potential doom that had come into being.......

Nope. It's called "consequences."  If you support evil, you get called out for it.  This is EXACTLY what a country of people with conscience should and must do.  The price of being associated with this regime should be that you are a complete pariah, unwelcome in civilized society.  Nip this shit in the bud.  We have previous historical examples that we can learn from.  The time to attack authoritarianism and cruelty is at the BEGINNING of its rise.  Want to work for Trump, and repeat his lies?  Then prepare to be shamed out of your nice Mexican food dinner.  Want to show up at a fancy fundraiser for him?  Then enjoy the piercing audio of wailing children.  Want to show up at a rally for him?  Prepare to have your name be mud in your highly public business.

Elections have consequences.  You got your Gorsuch.  Your scarlet "T" will last longer than his tenure on the court.

This really is the foundation for it.  Sure, there are other factors and elements, but without this, there is no MAGA movement.

That Time cover is devastating.

Good.

Keep it coming.

Relentlessly.  Trump knows only one thing -- attack.  So, there is only one good response -- counterattack.  He has spent years dehumanizing the "other," and trying characterize every brown face as an evil MS-13 gang member coming to kill you.  So use the same play.  Inundate the world with the actual faces of the people he harms.  Take away his ability to attack in the abstract -- make it concrete, and personal.  He's a bully, and a coward, and we can break him.

Germany actually needs the refugees and immigrants they’re currently getting.  Their smaller cities and towns are losing the manpower to support their infrastructures (attrition).

Merkel taking in all those Syrian women and children will help make Germany an economic powerhouse over the next generation or two.  You should see the transformation these Muslim kids make when they assimilate into western culture.  It’s awesome to watch as they educate themselves and slowly break the shackles their previous culture put on them.

Too bad we’re too fucking stupid to embrace diversity and see it for the asset that actually made America great in the first place.

Yourselves. That’s who you should go fuck.

History is watching. You fucking know it. You post your bullshit bravado here, but you know that it’s watching, and you know how we, and this time, will be judged.

I’m not going to go down without a fight. It’s what an American does. I understand that is alien to the nutless and gutless like y’all. I don’t care. Get fucked.

Nutley & Gutless is a terrible band name, mate.

Can someone give me a logical reason of combining the Education and Labor depts?

The only thing I could come up with is that perhaps they think matching our education system to the needs of business would be beneficial.   I know the Dept. of Education has not power over curriculum, but I'm not sure if Trump knows that, so it could be his thinking.

Never forget when Clay Travis blamed Texas for forcing ESPN to put the A&M-LSU game on at 11am.

And when his whines were met with a mix of confusion and corrections as to how kickoff times are determined, he came clean and admitted he was just mad that he wouldn't have enough time to drink and tailgate before kickoff.

In short, he's a fucking moron.

And really, all it takes is one -- ONE - person of substance to respond "fuck you, you little pissant.  Everyone fucking hates you anyway.  So shut the fuck up.  You're nothing but a loud mouth and a tiny dick, and we're done listening to you."

475FD70D00000578-0-image-a-43_1513400078

Agree but who is the person of substance in the GOP to play that role?  The 2016 Prez candidates were all soundly beaten by him.  Rubio does seem to still stand up to Trump's policies but won't take on Trump by name.    Ryan doesn't seem interested in the fight.  McConnell has his wife on Trump's cabinet and McConnell probably sees Trump as the opportunity to reshape the laws/judicial branch and he doesn't care about the cost.    I suppose GWB could be more vocal but its doubtful he wants the fight.  I could see him make 1 public statement only to have Trump lash out for the next 6 months against him.   And given that we forget what happened last week, GWB's statement would soon be forgotten.

If McCain was healthier, he could take on Trump.    (Still hard to believe that Trump openly slammed McCain for being a loser POW.   While he, Trump, took a bs deferrment during the Vietnam war.  remarkable that the right, military-loving voters swept that aside.)

As for Dems, Obama probably has the most credibility, energy and communication skills to take on Trump.  I guess it will play out if he would actually do this before the 2018 elections or not.  Trump has done a good job to continue to pile on Obama so that many on the Trump side believe Obama is ever worse than they thought in 2016.

There has been some movement (from multiple areas of the political spectrum) which indicates that public schools are doing a poor job of preparing students for the job market, particularly the non-college job market. I am willing to wager that that combining labor and education is born out of that concept.

I can understand some of the appeal, but I find the dangers enough for me to oppose it.  Public education should be more than job training.  Considering the target that “conservatives” have had on public education, I’d be very concerned about them rewriting the DOEd’s mission as it combines with DOLabor. Even with the best intentions, I could see rural schools being geared to support the industry in nearby towns at the expense of a well rounded education which a) gives a path for social mobility, b) provides some diversification of skills in case that industry ever leaves the town, c) educates good citizens/members of society. I could easily see students in impoverished areas being pigeoned-holed for factory or construction work.  And while those are noble fields, which can pay decently, it’s bullshit to limit the potential of students based on from where they come.
