People are upset that GoFundMe is allowing a Trump fundraiser for his judgements

Lol I know that Jalen guy. Gay, black, and MAGA. He’s really odd and yet would be a fantastic case for a narrative analysis if anyone needed a dissertation topic.

article - Trump owns 30% of 1290 6th Ave, which Steven Ross, actual real estate developer who knows he's doing, must've thrown him a bone. According to the NYP's real estate reporter, it's his best and possibly only asset that would allow raising the money necessary to appeal/pay the judgment. I recommend the article for the explanation about why every other Trump asset is garbage. However the maga brain worm comments in the posts at the end of the nyp article are -- not gonna lie -- entertaining af.

what this mean?

Well, at a minimum he's going to have defend several civil lawsuits regarding Jan 6th; including wrongful death, injury, etc.  Remember the threshold for civil guilt isn't the same as criminal, it's lower.  Basically, he just lost more money, if he has any anyway.

WASHINGTON — Lawsuits seeking to hold Donald Trump personally accountable for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol can move forward after the former president chose not to take his broad immunity claim to the Supreme Court.

Trump had a Thursday deadline to file a petition at the Supreme Court contesting an appeals court decision from December that rejected his immunity arguments, but he did not do so.

The appeals court made it clear that Trump could still claim immunity later in the proceedings in three cases brought by Capitol Police officers and members of Congress.

In other words, he'll use this to stall later on down the road.

As President, he refused to protect our Capitol as it was under attack. I'm sure the families of the cops who later committed suicide after engaging in hand to hand combat with these lunatics might have something to say about that.

He doesn’t want SC to weigh in on immunity and he wants to preserve the claim to stall the cases later.  His lawyers didn’t just forget.

Yeah in the civil cases like the criminal, the holding was based on a motion to dismiss, where the facts are as stated in the complaint and not developed any further. Trump can attempt a motion for summary judgment later and possibly appeal that denial or appeal any final judgment on grounds of immunity with the facts further developed. But they are not going to develop his way, so the appeals will be low percentage.

How much has that fat fuck paid the Sandyhook families?

The host has continued to “enjoy his extravagant lifestyle” and refused to stick to a reasonable budget, the Sandy Hook families claimed in the filing. Excluding professional and legal costs, Jones’ estate is spending about $65,000 to $90,000 a month to support his lifestyle, according to the document.

The families tried to make Jones reduce his spending and sell certain assets, but they were met with “resistance and refusal at almost every turn,” they said in the filing.

“In short, Jones has failed in every way to serve as the fiduciary mandated by the Bankruptcy Code in exchange for the breathing spell he has enjoyed for almost a year,” the Sandy Hook families said in the document.

tldr: Zero.

Same same, but different, but still the same.

DoTarD will die before any money is paid or any of his assets are seized. I'll bet all my rep on it.

Pisses me off so much.  Alex Jones deserves hell, but b/c the American justice system seems to lack teeth for the rich, he's, literally, living a life of luxury partially fueled by the blood of those kids.

I can't believe that cunt can go in public w/out someone braining him.

I will never be able to wrap my head around how people spend 90k a month on "living expenses."  I understand how the ultra-wealthy jet set but still.

Jones still lives in Westlake right? That's a lot of trips to Lupe Tortilla.

Right, and Trump doesn't like the legal system cause it is rigged - From the 1970s until he was elected president in 2016, Donald Trump and his businesses were involved in over 4,000 legal cases in U.S. federal and state courts, including battles with casino patrons, million-dollar real estate lawsuits, personal defamation lawsuits, and over 100 business tax disputes

What they did in that three ring circus they called a trial is absolutely dispiriting and despicable. This poor man must now sell a valuable asset to file an appeal. When he wins he will never get back all the missed earnings. How can anyone take the food off his table. This is not a Christian thing to do.

I would take it as an honor to be called a "slimy and unethical lawyer" while practicing law from somebody who was disbarred for being slimy and unethical.

When does Rudy's bankruptcy trustee file his adversary case to recover from Trump legal fees he owes? It's obvious they'll never collect but trustees are usually duty bound to assert that right.

I mean there is NOTHING stopping the organizers from keeping every last penny of that less GoFundMe’s fees, right?

They’re easy marks. Put a red hat on anything and label it patriot in red, white and blue. The more garish, the better.

I actually have a decent idea for a product that I’m considering. This is the time to act because the republicans are all gonna get on board after the RNC.

Nothing other than Dotard. Beneficiaries are entitled to get the funds directly from GFM if it's not paid to them by the organizer.

Super Saiyan Soccer GIF

We should have all been grifting off of these dumb fuck Republicans.

And the ones pitching in to GFM - Trump will never even know their names.  A BMD who decides to foolishly part with this money is going to write a check out to Trump and actually get something out of it, whether a face-to-face meeting, or some kind of arrangement.

MAGA idiots chipping in their $10 or $20 or $100 that they will need at the end of the month?  Completely anonymous to him.
