Texas Inks Lucrative Official Cardiovascular Supplement of Texas Athletics, Logos to Playing Surface (Monday)

AUSTIN, Texas – What started as a University of Texas Health Science Center research initiative has evolved into a nationally recognized wellness brand — and now, Humann is taking its relationship with Texas Athletics to the next level.

The Austin-based company has been named the Official Cardiovascular Supplement of Texas Athletics under a new multi-year agreement arranged through Longhorn Sports Properties. As part of the deal, Humann’s branding will appear on athletic playing surfaces across campus beginning this August.

“This collaboration captures the spirit of what makes the University of Texas special,” said Chris Del Conte, Vice President and Athletics Director. “We wanted any brand displayed in our facilities to reflect the UT story. Humann began through Texas research, has supported our athletes for years, and now helps people everywhere improve their heart health and overall wellness.”

The expanded relationship underscores a shared vision between two homegrown institutions. For Texas Athletics, it’s another example of performance innovation shaping the student-athlete experience. For Humann, it’s an opportunity to showcase how better blood flow contributes to both peak competition and everyday vitality.

For the first time in Texas Athletics history, another brand’s logo will appear alongside the Longhorn logo across every field and court, including:

  • Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium (football)
  • Moody Center (basketball, beginning the ’26-’27 season)
  • UFCU Disch-Falk Field (baseball)
  • Red & Charline McCombs Field (softball)
  • Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center (swimming & diving)
  • Gregory Gymnasium (volleyball)
  • Texas Tennis Center (tennis)
  • Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field (track & soccer)
  • Texas Longhorns Boathouse (rowing)
  • Charles Alan Wright Fields at the Berry M. Whitaker Complex (beach volleyball)
  • UT Golf Club (men’s & women’s golf)

It is kind of funny - a lot of our sports cause cardiovascular issues in our fans.  Not a bad branding matchup

Fuck all y’all…we just started a Superbeets subscription on Amazon.

Seriously…in this world of supplement overload…this appears super-legit, and along with Creatine should probably be a part of all our daily routine

we haven't been better than this since the taco bell gongs in the 90s

Exactly. The whole stadium is packed with ads. The only surprise is that it took this long and there aren’t more.

They should team up with the maker of Midol and they would make a killing.   Especially from some here on Surly.

Obviously not a fan of on-field sponsors, but at least this is a corp founded by UT researchers and launched out of the university. Not many other universities can say that. Plus the product seems to have already been used by the AD for awhile.

The UT institution where I work (not Austin) has a department that helps researchers launch companies when they invent something in exchange for a stake in the company. Curious if there’s an arrangement like that here.

a corporate logo on the uniform sleeve or next to the swoosh is next

I love how the swoosh gets a pass. It is, after all, a corporate logo.

It's really not but don't let that stop you from kneejerking about it

Not really. Look up what CDC said about on-field logos last year

A field is one thing. The uniforms are something he has not allowed to be altered in any way since he's taken over and has repeatedly stated is not going to happen. No alternates, no all black, no burnt orange helmets. Rest your sphincters about it.

He did?  You have a link.  I thought last year he was talking about uniform logos and not on field logos.  I could be wrong, but that is what I kind of remember.

He threw $20 million at us in Corpus to rename the convention center after him and we said never mind.

…..and took a lessor bid in spite of him!  Stupid financially (Puro Corpitos), but I’m sure enjoyable for the TJH haters.

“Of all the stadiums I have encountered in my travels, Campbell-Williams Field at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium was the most…”
