Can someone who actually witnessed the bad parts of the video explain this?  Did it look like he was hit with a .30-06?

He was clipped in the neck, not hit directly in the head.  If you want confirmation of what a head shot does, look at the JFK tapes again.

The difference being hitting the skull.  It seems the Kirk shot went through soft tissue only.  Any high-energy projectile will enter flesh and generate a shock wave ahead of it, which has the potential to "blow shit up."  But when the projectile and the shock wave hit something big and hard like a skull, that's when things get "weird" and shit really starts "blowing up," because the direction of the shock wave and the projectile itself get changed from basically straight ahead to up, down, left, right, and some of the energy gets transferred to the bone, which starts heading off in its own directions.

Here are some shots through ballistic gel that mimic soft-tissue only.

So, the amount of energy wouldn't blow his neck apart?

"apart", no.  Would it and did it cause massive amount of trauma to the nerves and veins, yes.

It's an exercise of mass and velocity.  It transfers kinetic energy.  It creates a shock wave effect; hydrostatic shock to be specific.  That's the cavitation effect you see in videos with ballistic gel.  This is what causes remote injuries in the nerves, blood vessels, etc.

What's the alternative theory here? That a second shooter shot him from behind and the guy arrested is a patsy?

Well, it's a big ass bullet so that's why I was asking.  I'm fully Bezmenov'd to the point that I'm questioning everything.  I want to believe the official story because it sure seems plausible.  That's probably the truth so I just want some debunking for my own sanity.

Well, from a caliber or diameter standpoint, .30-06 is not huge.  Rifle bullets caliber from roughly .22 up to .50.  But then there's mass, and that's often accounted for by length of the projectile.  Mass surely counts toward the energy of the projectile, which is a big factor, and .30-06 is a pretty high-energy round as they go.

But it's not a monster.

For reference, when you're reading military fiction or non-fiction and a .50BMG machine gun, M2 or Ma Deuce, or a 12.7mm heavy machine gun Dushka is referenced, that is a huge, heavy projectile fired at very high velocity.  It's not just a long-distance sniper round.

When a .50 or 12.7mm machine gun comes into play against personnel, they're being mutilated and blown to shit.  That round does not drill through people or "through and through," it blows them to shit as if it were an explosive round.

My favorite ones so far are the palm gun shooter take, and the baseball signs guy calling the shot. The drone bird controlled by the Jews is also pretty ripe, but it's all just absolute lunacy on display.

Not really.  Anecdotal, but I was in the blind with a friend that took a small-ish doe with a .50.  She ran off.  Zipped right through her.

The founder of Delta Force, Charles Beckwith survived a .50 shot to the abdomen in Vietnam.

Broadly speaking, though, a .50 cal or 12.7 is a major destruction machine.

Why in the blue fuck was your friend hunting deer with a .50 unless it was extreme long range?  That seems like it should be illegal.

Nah, post '08 crash, dude needed to unload some stuff on the cheap so friend picked it up for next to nothing.  Later flipped it and doubled his money.

It was deer season

Ergo, he took a small doe with a big round.  The point being it just passed cleanly through.  She ran off, we found her.  No different than any other hunting experience other than the rifle was fucking heavy.

overpenetration is absolutely a real phenomenon.   A  high powered rifle bullet CAN do less "damage"(tearing and shredding)  than a round from a smaller caliber rifle.

Range, bullet type, caliber, substrate struck will all impact the "damage" any round will do.

Elevated blind.  It buried itself in the dirt berm behind the animal.  We instantly knew it passed through as it raised a massive dirt cloud behind her.  Very little blood.  Which we thought odd, but we found her not far off.

It really is amazing that you're working to hard to lionize someone for """peaceful speech""" that literally organized an armed attack on our nation's capital and interrupted the peaceful transition of power. He deleted his tweet on January 9th, but he was bragging about sending EIGHTY busses into the Stop the Steal rally

https://www.dailydot.com/news/charlie-kirk-delete-tweet-buses-capitol/

“Despite what the media and certain weak intellectually-compromised Constitutional scholars are telling you, Mike Pence does not have to accept the results of polluted and poisoned electors. He does not,” Kirk said.

Countless Trump supporters, convinced that Pence had committed treason thanks to the rhetoric online, were heard openly calling for the vice president to be hanged during the riot.

If all the energy dumped into his neck, maybe? I haven’t watched the video but I imagine only a fraction of the kinetic energy behind the projectile was actually transferred into his neck and the majority went into a wall or the ground behind him.

energy transfer on impact is a WHOLE field of ballistics, and why there's hollowpoint and softpoint bullets - in contrast to FMJ. Hollow/soft points will hit and expand, and have a larger crosssection that allows more energy to be transferred while the projectile is passing through. FMJ's tend to stay in one shape and pass through - which is specifically why the military chose 5.56. It tumbles on impact and dumps energy that way, and doesn't violate the geneva convention. A fast-moving FMJ can pass straight through if there's not enough mass in its way - rifle overpenetration was a well-documented phenomina during WWII where Marines would need more shots than expected to put down a charging enemy. And those marines were shooting 30-06 out of a Mauser action rifle too

i don't know if there is any conclusion to it.  it's not like i have any doubt about the dude's guilt.  the argument that the texts aren't real is pretty compelling to me though.  so rarely does evidence look exactly like something from a self-incrimination-by-numbers kit.  it is just weird.

What's the alternative theory here? That a second shooter shot him from behind and the guy arrested is a patsy? The main one I’ve heard is pushed by Candace Owens and the like is that Israel killed him. That’s their story and they are sticking to it. Ever since Midnight Hammer they have been pushing “Israel” is behind everything bad. Thats what I see on X.

I’ve also heard other theories—but none that have the kind of traction the main one I mentioned is getting.

For me not everything is a fucking conspiracy. Sometimes it is exactly what it looks like. The evidence seems to lead to one shooter UNLESS they can find from the Discord group he was in that he had some type of help or support from that group would cross a legal line.

So to me, case solved. So it’s a bit frustrating bc in almost every criminal murder case, in my community, once there is an arrest or even after a conviction or guilty plea there are huge swaths of people that won’t accept it. There is always more to it. And I’m not saying there isn’t but damnit.  See Luigi.
