And it's full of left wingers thinking it was some professional that Trump hired to have Charlie killed to distract from Epstein. That was like the first thing my mom texted me two days ago - who is chronically online in left-leaning spaces.

So what is your point exactly? There are a bunch of dipshits online from both sides?

Sure, but, to be fair, only one of those conspiracies has a non-zero chance of being picked up and used by the President.

They're just in-jokes from some online forum. He might as well have inscribed "CJK5H" (which, while true, is also a shorthand in-joke for college football fans)

so just the guys being the guys then... locker room talk....

I have the same read you do - it's being used as a troll, similar to "if u can read this ur gay". It fits with that rhetorical style online

It’s also just how young men talk. I don’t think it tells us much about him at all.

worth a watch. Produced and directed by UT alumnus

Great movie. When I was in Hong Kong during the pro democracy protests I have tons of pepe stuff I took back with me. It was nice to see it featured at the end.

still very wide open in my opinion

Scorecard in my opinion: "die fascist" = +1 lefty

Raised in MAGA family = +1 righty

If you're reading this you're gay = +1 righty

Caio Bella = +1 lefty

UWU what's this = +1 righty, if i had to assign a score to it given the very inane online presence it suggests that i associate with incel memeworld that trends righty.

"Kirk is too hateful" comment = +1 lefty.

Lol. I'd say die fascist could use a more than +1, but it's your system.

Also raised in MAGA family could be the opposite 4 years out of the house.

back in the days before the web, a guy who was at Disney's animation institute in the UK showed me some of the work a fellow student was doing on his downtime

and that's how I learned about Furry Porn way back in '92

seriously Peter, fuck you, man

THAT was what was so surprising when I read the wiki article. I mean the online sites (aside from sports boards) where I spend time are predominately female and I had little idea that the furry fandom skewed male and frequently featured explicit sex. The wiki did mention that the fandom has changed somewhat, perhaps given that more females have entered online communities (in spite of gamergate etc).

Not trying to pick this apart, but genuinely curious what the left leaning spaces are.

I was wondering the other day who the left version of Charlie Kirk is.  Is there one?

Fucking yes!  That's what makes all of this so fucking frustrating.

Both sides are like 95% the same.  We are all just trying to do our best to raise our kids, make some money, and have some fun.  We've both got normies and weirdos and online freaks and political dorks.

But for some reason, we keep electing and platforming the people (including, unfortunately, Charlie Kirk) who draw attention to our differences.  The President of the United States said today that he "couldn't care less" about violence from those on the right.  The country will not survive with this attitude.

If we as a country do not want this man to die in vain, then we can start electing unifiers instead of dividers.  We can recognize that it is unhealthy to immediately assume every horrible act is committed by someone that embodies all of the characteristics we personally hate.  We can acknowledge that the world is so much nicer when you aren't fucking filled with carefully algorithm'd rage pumped into your brain 24/7.

I'm not holding my breath, but I'd sure like to see it.

If the country approached disagreement the way Charlie Kirk did with civil discourse we would all be better off regardless of your political views.

If I were guessing the bulge uwu thing is meme’ing on trans more than supporting or being trans.

You sure such phrases as, "if you're reading this you're gay," aren't irrefutable, unambiguous expressions of political ideology?

I think mainly reddit. Which can be more left or right depending on the subreddit but has leaned very left for awhile now.

Don’t say both sides.  You can catch hell for it.

We should put people and professors we don't like on "watchlists" for our organization and rabid supporters to harass?

Going forward I hope people become more prudent about how much they are online or at the very least what they are digesting online. Or just put their phones down more often in general. This shit is literally going to destroy our society and it's only going to get worse with AI.

The biggest thing I’ve been trying to do is putting my phone down for 2-3 hours a day on one day of the weekend and doing something productive. Sometimes it’s a hike where the phone goes in the backpack and my only tech is AllTrails giving me directions on my watch

Tomorrow a bunch of us are going to the Cheyenne mountain zoo for the afternoon. No phones allowed! (And then a lunch trip to Whataburger for the starving Texans among us)

Are you familiar with phrase “you’re gay if you don’t kiss your homey?”

the kid seems like a chronically online gamer. You’re not going to be able to tell much from those memes. Especially if you aren’t in the communities he posted and know their context of how he used them.

The fascist line was a joking reference to a video game that's essentially Starship Troopers in which the characters calling their enemies fascists are the actual fascists. It's all just edgy ironic internet meme shit. He could be a groyper or he could be more of a nihilistic mass-shooter fan.  Some people call this the true crime community, but that's a motherfucker to research because any googling will just find true crime podcasts and that's not the way the phrase is meant when describing the mass shooter fans. I'm leaning toward him being a true crime-type, though wouldn't be surprised if he liked groypers and bought into their rhetoric about Kirk to an extent and was partially motivated by that. There's likely a lot of overlap between the two groups.

Similar thought, I can’t name a “leading” liberal site or figure, one that leads the charge on culture wars. There’s various news-ish sites like mother jones I guess. But I don’t know a single person who locks in on true left leaning news networks (I reckon 60 minutes qualifies as that to some), and certainly can’t name more than one podcast type, I think pod save America? Truly am at a loss. And yes, the subreddits and discord channels etc, there’s pockets like that.

The "hey facist" part seems to relate to dropping a bomb in a video game:

Helldivers is basically Starship Troopers as a video game. The game has heavy themes of sarcastic democracy, where you, the invading force on these new planets occupied by sentient bugs, robots, etc are there to conquer them and "spread democracy" as they say. The "hey fascist" line, like many others in the game, is more of a joke as the human invading force using their insanely powerful clone army of space marines is the actual fascist regime. Whether or not the shooter knew any of that, or understood the nuance of the humor built into the games narrative is another question.  The 500kg bomb is a popular strategem call-in though, maybe it was his favorite?

I believe all it takes is a request from the correct authority and a willingness by the feds.  Also by and large if the feds want jurisdiction they are going to find or make a way to get it.(regardless of party in power)

Incorrect.

Federal courts are courts of limited jurisdiction.

The second statement may be true, but it will not be a murder charge.

This is the word of the day apparently.

Honestly, if and when we the public get the whole story regarding this event, and despite the push and pull over ideologies and rhetoric, the personal biases, the monetization, the glorification, the inroads one group or another makes in their pursuit to power, the truth will be nuanced to those who understand that life when lived is never as simple as alive or dead except when it is.

Not sure that made sense except in my own mind......deep thinking by Mrs. Whiggins.

Seems that if Kash and friends had a bunch of evidence of pinko commie online presence it’d be all over the news by now. Sounds more like a chronically online and angry gamer troll. If his online chatter is anything else they’ll just let this one go because it won’t serve their purpose.
