That type of injury can take more than a year before a player can return, and can be career enders themselves. He’s already old, so I think that’s it for him. I don’t have any particular love or hate for Rodgers, but that’s a shitty way to end a career, especially after all the preseason hype.

Well... I do.

Ok. I do have a particular hate for Rodgers, and that was hard to watch.

Good for him.

Fixed.

You can believe in fairy tales and make believe all you want to, PilotsError, but don't expect the rest of us to believe in witchcraft. Go get yourself a high school education again so that you can understand these basic things.

Or don't. But if you won't, do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut so people won't all see what a goofy doofus you've chosen to be.

Few?  Tens and tens of millions of Americans refuse(d) the Covid-19 vaccination shots, he's not as unique as the taste his balls leave in your mouth.  He's now about to embark on 12 months, maybe more, of a battery of drugs, painkillers, narcotics, and surgical procedures that can literally kill people.  When your legs are worth millions of dollars, you'll embrace the shit outta science.  Everybody's an armchair researcher until they can't get out of the armchair without an ankle brace, and a handful of opiates.

I don’t wish injuries on anyone, but this one seems fitting for Rodgers. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed and his embracing of quack science vs. now having to embrace doctors who will be using actual science to get him back to full health is quite the 180. Rodgers comes across as a really uneducated human being when he starts talking so I can only imagine some of the eye-rolling a few doctors and rehab specialists will be doing in dealing with him directly for at least a full calendar year.

He didn't go to Berkeley to play school, obviously.

I mean, we can ALSO hate him for rejecting facts for nonsense, too. Absolutely.

But I think most of us already hated him going back to his whining in 2004, and his subsequent inability to put enough points up on a Mike Leach coached Texas Tech team... when he led an offense with the RB with the most yards in PAC history (Arrington) and a freshman Beastmode.

Actually, that part about him losing to Tech, I enjoyed that. Immensely.

Let's start with him bitching that Texas got picked over Cal in 2004 to face Michigan. And then proceeds to get beat down by Tech.

**Saw Rimbo already beat me to it*

Well how about his constant throwing teammates and coaches under the bus when he performs poorly, which in the playoffs, is against everyone except Dallas it seems like it.

Packers fans get owned by a Milwaukee bar promotion

https://www.cbs58.com/news/im-thinking-with-my-wallet-as-bar-offers-free-beer-fans-root-against-rodgers

Quote

Early in the first quarter of Monday night's game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, the crowd inside this bar on Milwaukee's east side released such a loud cheer, one might've assumed the Packers were playing.

In reality, they were clapping and cheering at the sight of a Bills defender sacking Aaron Rodgers, who was the Packers' starting quarterback for the previous 15 seasons. Many of the patrons cheered again when they realized Rodgers was hurt.

For a number of those fans, the reason for their ruthlessness was simple: if the Jets lost, Jack's American Pub would pay their bar tab.

Since announcing the offer two weeks ago, the Brady Street establishment has received a flood of national attention. ESPN even had a camera crew roaming the bar Monday.

Fans packed both the upper and lower levels of the bar, crowding in to get their tabs opened 15 minutes before kickoff. Ryan Cooke, the director of operations for Heard Hospitality, which owns Jack's, said they knew the idea was marketing gold -- and that they'd need to put some rules in place.

"We've been in the bar industry a long time," Cooke said. "We were able to put together just a couple limitations, but still keep it as open as possible."

Those rules include a requirement that fans open their tabs no later than the opening kick. The offer does not cover food, pitchers, or top-shelf liquor.

For some fans, that meant implementing a strategy.

"I think if the Bills are winning early, we'll just stay steady," Nicki Dower, who lives on the east side, said. "But if the Jets have a big lead, I'll probably tone it down."

Others declared, win or lose, they came to booze.

"I came here aggressive. I'm gonna start drinking heavy," downtown resident Michael Steggeman said. "I don't care what the score is."

The other key condition is Rodgers must start the game. The rules said nothing about him having to finish the contest, which led to some fans clapping and waving at the screen when Rodgers hobbled off the field after the fourth snap of the game.

Jon Bie said he'd be in positive spirits regardless of the outcome. If the Bills won, he'd love to have a free night at the bar. If the Jets prevailed, he'd still be flying high after the Packers' blowout win Sunday.

"I think we can work around that, especially after Jordan Love's performance yesterday," Bie said. "I'm not too down in the dumps after that."

Some of those who applauded Rodgers' exit may well wake up feeling some regret Tuesday, especially if his injury ends up being serious. In the moment on Monday, however, they were overcome by the prospect of a bar paying their tab.

"I'm not necessarily opposed to Rodgers," Steggeman said. "But tonight, I'm thinking with my wallet instead."

As the NFL schedule currently stands, the tavern's offer will stand for another 12 game this season; the "Jets Lose, You Win" promotion is in effect for any Jets game that's not at the same time as a Packers game.

Of course, that will also depend on Rodgers' health.

He has always seemed like a jerk and his anti-vaxx crap was disingenuous, at best. ("I've been immunized" — whatever)

That said, I liked him more after watching him on Hard Knocks. He truly seemed to be trying to help the other QB's get better. Favre bragged about not helping Rogers when he was the backup, so maybe that experience helped him understand what it feels like to have someone senior to you treating you in a shitty way.

I mean, it's worth repeating that he whined about not getting into the Rose Bowl, and then lost by two TDs to a Tech team we beat by 30.

How much of that was for the cameras though? People will do shit for the cameras. By most reports, he didn't do shit for his backups while in Green Bay. And he was very selfish.

Could also be he changed in his older age but I recall he called out the Packers front office for drafting Love instead of catering to his demands that he wanted. Heaven forbid they think of life beyond Rodgers, which was coming very soon at this age.

I know McCarthy took a lot of shit for how their breakup but I fully believe Rodgers was a major cunt to deal with and he had him gone. Their relationship deteriorated over time

Fair point about the cameras rolling. Of course, it's in his interest to make his new team like him. My NY Jets fan told me today he thinks they are cursed.

The BIL is a huge Jets fan.  My ‘best football weekend in a very long time’ text was met with silence.

I was reading their fan forum today. As it pertains to what they do now at QB type of stuff which is an interesting topic. Like I’d be calling all available vets and maybe calling a few teams like Colts or Texans or Commanders about their backups. They don’t have a ton of cap space and they have a brutal schedule and shitty OLine and Wilson isn’t likely to last past the cowboys. It has to be someone that can be upright until their bye week after the Eagles game. Not a ton of options. Rumors on their forum are Colt is expected in their facilities tomorrow but anyone who is a fan of Colt shouldn’t want this. You will be taking a ton of hits. Have to be mobile.

The BIL is a constant reminder that tings could always be worse.  UT/Cowboys are my teams.  His are the Jets and Syracuse.

And how many nickels in an Aaron Rodger's Quarter(back)?  FIVE.  How many sides to the Pentagon on that fateful day?  FIVE!  How many vaccinations plus boosters have I had in the last few years?  FIVE!  How many buroughs in New York Jets territory attacked on 9/11?  FIVE!  How many planes supposedly went missing on September 11th?  FIVE!  What year did Aaron Rodgers make his NFL debut...Two-Thousand and FIVE!  If his career is over due to the deep state taking out his tendon...he will end his career with how many losses?  Seventy-FIVE!  How many touchdowns will he have thrown?  Four hundred and seventy-FIVE!  How many interceptions?  One hundred and FIVE!

Do your own research, Sheeple!

If you compare him to Favre, Rogers seems like a stand up guy. Keen mind, too.

If I compared someone that said 2+2=potato they would also be in the stand up guy column when compared to Favre. It’s a 7th Circle of Hell level bar Rodgers is higher than. Such a waste when you consider the good he could have been doing this far in his life. I kind of feel like Rodgers has done his family a favor in being estranged from them.
