So let all the bulk approvals happen, then individually vote for the remaining

Yeah they bulk approved most of the ones he took his block off of. They will have to vote individually on the rest

He needs his ass beat in an alley.

He’s begging for it.

Spot on. 90% of MAGA leadership are the rich kids, frat boys, spoiled bullies, and pasty Bible thumpers who never got their f*cking ass kicked on a playground or behind the gym. Growing up in Texas, I saw several bullies taken behind the gym by the recipients of their bullying--who proceeded to kick the bully's ass. Bully was bully no more or far less of one.

Same with Trump. Rich, frat, bully who never had his ass kicked. History might have been changed (slightly) with Trump getting his ass kicked a couple of times, especially with girls watching. Total humiliation.

Hell, Biden should have decked him in one of the "debates" when Trump was lying and insulting him and his family. With that fat blob sprawling on the stage floor, Biden would have been elected in an all-time landslide. All-time.

They should call the bill the "Tubberville is a hypocritical anti-American piece of shit who should fuck himself to death with a rusty garden trowel" bill.  That dumbass would still sign on to it, because he's the dumbest fucking senator in American history.

I've heard he was told by Trump to hold those open so he can appoint some lapdogs once he will the presidency.

THeoretically, that's just a dozen or so folks where they can do the votes one by one. Surely the Senate can do their jobs for a few days?

US Steel corp announced today they plan to sell to a Japanese company, Nippon steel.

Under terms of the deal, US Steel’s operations will retain its name and will continue to have a headquarters in Pittsburgh. But the deal could still stir opposition.

Earlier this summer the United Steelworkers union vowed to only support a proposed offer by another unionized American steel company, Cleveland Cliffs, to buy US Steel, in a cash and stock deal then valued at $32.53 a share, or 40% less than Nippon’s all cash offer. The US Steel board rejected that offer and started considering other bids.

“To say we’re disappointed in the announced deal between U.S. Steel and Nippon is an understatement, as it demonstrates the same greedy, shortsighted attitude that has guided U.S. Steel for far too long,” said USW President David McCall. “We remained open throughout this process to working with U.S. Steel to keep this iconic American company domestically owned and operated, but instead it chose to push aside the concerns of its dedicated workforce and sell to a foreign-owned company.”

The union made clear it hopes to block the deal.

“We also will strongly urge government regulators to carefully scrutinize this acquisition and determine if the proposed transaction serves the national security interests of the United States and benefits workers,” it said.

Tying these two together so people understand the context better. Took me a minute to understand how this involved tubs

Out with nary a whimper

But Schumer kept the nominees off the floor until a few days before Christmas to ramp up pressure on Tuberville to approve them by unanimous consent. If he didn’t, senators might have been stuck churning through as many as 22 separate votes on nonpartisan military nominees.

Quote

Sen. Tommy Tuberville earned bipartisan scorn over his monthslong blockade of military promotions, an anti-abortion crusade that officials said hampered readiness and harmed morale in the armed forces. So the Alabama Republican doesn’t have much credibility when it comes to assessing the proper treatment of people who have served in the military.

What he does appear to have is a lot of nerve. Because he took to the airwaves Tuesday to push a debunked claim that some medical centers operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs have been prioritizing care for migrants over vets because of an arrangement by the Biden administration.

Quote

He said “we just recently found out” that the Biden administration “has decided to use” VA-operated community care systems in rural areas for migrants. “And it’s pushed our veterans to the back of the line,” he added.

You heard that right: The man who forced hundreds of service members to wait — unnecessarily — for promotions they had earned apparently has thoughts on people who have served our country being forced to wait for something.

The reason that a lot of people don’t know about this is because it’s not happening. Tuberville’s characterization makes it seem like migrants are getting health care at VA facilities by skipping right past vets. Rep. Mike Bost, R-Ill., and Tuberville even co-sponsoredlegislation to capitalize on this falsehood, which has gained traction on the right.

Quote

VA officials have tried to set the record straight. According to Military.com:

‘VA does not provide or fund any health care to ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] detainees,’ department press secretary Terrence Hayes said in a statement responding to the GOP accusations.

Currently, ICE pays VA to help process payments for health care costs for immigrants in their custody. Fewer than 10 employees from VA’s Financial Service Center are tasked with the work as part of their other duties.

Quote

Military.com added that the VA provides similar processing services to other agencies, such as the Office of Refugee Resettlement and the Indian Health Service, and noted that this arrangement has been in place since 2002 and continued through presidential administrations of different parties.

Beating the blue fuck out of Tommy T would be one of the great joys of my life. Get into a good old fashioned bar fight when the dumbass starts to believe his own bullshit enough to take an ill-advised swing…and then it’s on. We all know he’s a glass jawed wuss.

To be fair to Tuberville, a lot of folks without decades-long experience in football Sometimes forget football team names.  (Checks notes).  Oh that was the only thing he did for a half century?  Hmmm……….maybe sit the next couple plays out Senator
