I’ve been told two stories today by people in DC. The first is that he fell and is embarrassed to be seen. The second is that he was diagnosed with something that has a timeline and he is freaked out. The both sound plausible.

If he fell, there’s a simple solution. Ivermectin.

If he’s diagnosed with something that has a timeline? Just take ivermectin.

Btw, they’re not announcing any sort of terminal diagnosis tomorrow at 2. That’s why I would lean towards a fall if I were a betting man.

Correct. Or that he had something that he already beat. Or nothing at all. I can’t imagine that they would ever admit a weakness

Miley Cyrus - “Party in the USA” better top the charts for weeks after he dies or this country is truly lost.

GTFO with that teeny bopper garbage. This occasion calls for the Godfather

lord, people. he’s as likely to admit some medical issue/fall as he is to resign.

he’s making an announcement so that everyone can see how “healthy” he is. the content of the announcement won’t be health-related.

you’re thinking of literally every other president. just listen to whatever he says tomorrow and know it’s window dressing and likely 180 degrees inaccurate.

it’ll be about how strong he is, how the radical leftists are trying to take him and his tariffs down, and how it’s more important than ever to fight. it’ll be short

and he’ll bring up newsom.

Yeah, the closest we would get to him falling would be he was pushed by some evil lib.  But don't worry, that lib is in ICU from the beatdown our favorite president gave him.  Happened one night on patrol with his boys cleaning up the DC streets.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on this press conference. Trump is the most dishonest person who has ever held office. If he fell, he’d never acknowledge it, and if he had a terminal diagnosis, he’d also never say anything (and neither did Biden). This is going to be a classic Trump off the handles press conference where he says a bunch of crazy shit and changes the narrative. I’ve accepted that this mother fucker will live to the age of Old Testament Abraham and I encourage all of you to do the same.

The Ezra Klein show had some gen zer on who called him the first algorithm president or something like that.

That stuck with me.

It’s not that he’s a good communicator.

It’s just that what he says is the shit that drives engagement. It’s controversial and elicits a response or reaction.

And like the algorithm, there’s just a continuous spewing of content to the point that ‘nothing sticks’.

Endless new content that blocks the impact of any old content.

Maybe instead of call him a good communicator we just call him a man of his time.
There are a lot of soulless humans out there. Hell the GOP is a party full of them. But it took a special narcissist reality TV grifter to completely embody all the rot of social media to the point where we were almost powerless to his ‘charm.’

Yeah, the phrase "good communicator" doesn't sit right with me, because, particularly in his current state, he's not a good communicator in terms of delivering information.

He's good at driving attention and engagement.  "Any attention is good attention."  I suppose that, too, is a form of information.

I saw a piece dissecting the effectiveness of the Newsom trolls.  One theory is that the cultists "know" Trump's rambling is insane and that it's coming from a librul parodist forces them to confront that knowledge.

Sounds like it’s just going to be him announcing they are doing to Chicago what they did to LA

EDIT: CNN reporting it’s related to the DoD

This.  He's great at being front and center.  Has any other (non- war time) president been so publicly in the middle of every fucking little thing, every day and all day?  Did they care about the name of a NFL team or where penguins get tariffs assessed on them? Nope.  But flooding the zone is his style and our reality TV obsessed, social media addicted electorate eats it up.

Well everyone knows that Hitler was a monster and one of history’s pariahs, what I presume is ‘what if he wasn’t?’

Velchik submitted a paper written in Latin from the perspective of Hitler, according to three people studying in the department at the time with knowledge of the assignment. Two of the sources read the paper and said they found it disturbing. The third had not read the paper but knew of the incident at the time. (The Globe was not able to review the paper.) The instructor declined to grade it, instead telling Velchik to re-do the assignment, according to all three sources, a decision meant to turn the incident into a teaching moment.

“At Harvard in 2011, no one would say that Hitler was a controversial figure,” said one person with direct knowledge of the incident at the time.

About 18 months later, he returned to the subject of Hitler, this time telling a peer that “Mein Kampf” was among his favorite recent reads, according to an email obtained by the Globe.
“is it bad that my favorite class at harvard was nietzsche and my favorite book i’ve read this year is mein kampf?” Velchik wrote in June, 2013, one year after receiving his undergraduate degree from Harvard.

Probably something stupid like renaming it to Department of War. You know, right wing virtue signaling.

Game over. Award the dotard the Nobel peace prize he's so desperate for that he'll fuck up our int'l. standing to get.
