Trump gonna try and primary Sporkfoot.

An interesting contradiction:

--- I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of "Congresswoman" Margorie Taylor Greene

---It all seemed to begin when I sent her a Poll stating that she should not run for Senator, or Governor, she ws at 12%, and didn't have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement -- which she wasn't about to get!).

Occam's razor with MTG is that she is still a completely unprincipled shitbag who was told that the only way she can get reelected is to stay in the Epstein Files issue and cast herself as representing her constituents' wishes that she ran on.

The only positive aspect of it is a representative actually listening to their constituents. Of course it's not to serve them, it's to serve herself.

Earlier today I couldn’t connect to any sites.  I was hoping we finally got THE NEWS and global reaction brought the internet to its knees.  Alas it was just Xfinity fucking around in the area, so I continue to wait.

I have a weird moment like that once a week. One of these days it's going to be true. Then, look out liver.

millions of evangelical 'christians' have abandoned their professed christian morals and judgement for Trump.

millions of adamant 'fiscal conservatives' have lost interest in the national debt and the plundering of the treasury, for Trump.

millions of 2nd amendment 'purists' look the other way on real government firearm databases and are silent on actual federal troops attacking multiple American cities and civilians, for Trump.

millions who claimed inflation! and the price!of!eggs!! was intolerable! a year ago are pretending like they aren't walking out of every grocery store today thinking 'what the actual fuck!!'

millions who have condemned sexual predators and rapists with righteous anger are working out the nuance of 15 not really being a child in the whole, you know, 'pedophile' sense of things. for Trump.

millions gaze upon Trump with love and adoration and believe he is a god, he can do no wrong.

i look at Trump and see an ugly, hideous man in every sense of the word, gross both inside and out, made of nothing but lies, greed, cruelty and ignorance.

somebody has TDS but it ain't me.

And there it is. Damn, girl.

It's like First They Came for our wave in the dismal tide.

@immamac how do we pin this to the top of each page?

I refuse to believe that there's anyone who seeks out and watches the show that's named after him that didn't vote for Trump on 3 separate occasions.

I think she wanted to run for Governor and Trump shut her down.  That probably started it.  Though for as stupid and insane as she is, I really didn't have her down as the first rat to realize the ship is sinking.  Maybe because, like you say, she's tied so much of her political identity to the EF and whatnot.

The irony is she could come out on top in all of this if things get really, really bad.  Trump will demand that ALL Republicans go down with him (heh, heh, heheheh, I said "go down") and people like her will be able to say "see, I told you all, and I was one of the few who cared about the children."

Why is capitalism losing favor in Trump’s America?

https://www.axios.com/2025/09/08/americans-capitalism-social-big-business-gallup-poll

The lowest share of Americans ever view capitalism positively and big business rates even worse in new Gallup data released Monday.

Why it matters: Americans' souring attitudes toward capitalism and corporations reflects a growing unease with the economyrising inflation and a stagnating job market.

By the numbers: A slim majority of Americans — 54% — said they have positive ratings of capitalism, down from 60% in 2021.

  • Perceptions of socialism — currently 39% positive — have not changed significantly since polling began in 2010.

State of play: For the first time, fewer than half of Democrats view capitalism positively. They're also the only political group to view socialism more positively than capitalism.

  • Ratings of "big business" have dropped significantly, especially among Democrats.
  • However, Americans remain overwhelmingly supportive of small business and free enterprise despite their skepticism of larger market forces.

Unfettered capitalism trends to monopoly. It’s amazing that people whose parents and grandparents were beaten and shot for trying to organize so they didn’t have to live in company housing and buy their food at the company store, or who lost their farms and ranches to bankers after one bad year, want to give everything back to the ultra rich

This. Any system has a tendency and risk of having too much power concentrate in one place or another.
Which is why balanced approaches - things like free trade and free enterprise…with union protection and safety and environmental protection regulations - are best.
We’re tearing that up and going full-on onto the “let’s try unregulated oligarchy that operates completely outside of the rule of law.” And we’re doing it in the name of…it will help…the people? Jesus we’re so fucking dumb it hurts.

One thing, I think monopoly or monopolization, at least defined somewhat economically (the power to set/control prices), only touches on the dangers of capitalism and corporate power.

Maybe it's just more regulation in general/particular, environmental, workplace safety, worker security, customer privacy, etc. that's needed or necessary.

But it also seems that "corporate" power needs to be viewed from another lens, entirely.  I'm not 100% sure what that is.

Dems just need to run a bunch of young, attractive, accomplished women who just repeat over and over "I'm a normal mom and I won't cover for pedos"  and that's all she wrote.

Depends. Where do they stand on “transgender for everyone?”

I had to google this but apparently Massie's first wife passed away in June of 2024.

And sure Dotard has been married three times and has cheated on all of them, but sure go right ahead and talk shit. Piece of human garbage.
