BREAKING NEWS

The FBI has made an arrest in its nearly 5-year-old investigation into who placed pipe bombs in Washington on the eve of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press on Thursday.

The arrest marks the first time investigators have settled on a suspect in an act that had long vexed law enforcement, spawned a multitude of conspiracy theories and remained an enduring mystery in the shadow of the dark chapter of American history that is the violent Capitol siege.

The official who described the arrest spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to publicly discuss a case that hasn’t yet been made public. The arrest took place Thursday morning and the suspect is a man, the official said. No other details were immediately available, including the charges the person might face.

The pipe bombs were placed on the evening of Jan. 5, 2021, near the offices of the Democratic and Republican national committees in the District of Columbia. Nobody was hurt before the bombs were rendered safe, but the FBI has said both devices could have been lethal.

Anyone seen Marge? She shouldn't have pissed him off.

I honestly don’t understand how GOP in Congress won’t stand up against a guy who commits war crimes, sells pardons for crypto and criminal influence, likely fucked an underage girl, falls asleep in cabinet meetings and also is destroying the economy. A handful of reps, like 5 in the House and 3 in the senate could change the course of history, but instead they are content to be feckless trolls. Is it truly that they are captured by PACs and lobbyists?

Definitely seems something fishy going on there.  Given that the regime insists there was no wrongdoing on January 6, 2021.

Both sides are significantly more afraid of "foreign investors" either turning off the money machine or revealing their kompromat, than they are of the public

How soon until he's pardoned?

Not likely.  Because at present, Ka$h has his boys at the suspect's home fabricating notes or text messages or somesuch saying "I am so looking forward to my task tomorrow, January 6, 2021, where I will do the will of Joseph Robinette Biden, Democrat, and plant a bomb to make the patriots in Washington who are peacefully supporting President Trump look bad."

Cars are SO much better these days.  No contest.  It's a problem that doesn't need to be solved, unless one desires an F1 vehicle as a daily driver (which I do).

U.S. Diplomats Report Broken Morale and Abandoned Careers

A new survey found that 98 percent of Foreign Service officers felt lower morale. Only 1 percent reported an increased ability to carry out U.S. foreign policy.

I never want to hear a word from any GOP politician about corruption ever.

I already pointed it out.

It's more money.  MUCH more money.   And it's OUR FUCKING MONEY.  These dollars come right out of the US treasury.

The entire Regime and Trump crime syndicate is openly operating to siphon our money out of the US treasury and into their pockets.  They are, quite simply, looting the treasury.  Not wasting the money.  Not spending it unwisely.  Just flat-out looting the treasury.

And all of these fucking idiots who support him think that this is "draining the swamp."  Dumbest.  Fucking.  Humans.  To ever.  Fucking.  Exist.  And understand that I am using "human" in the broadest sense to include all hominids.  These fuckers are dumber than Lucy.

WE HAVE NO FOREIGN POLICY.  "Do whatever will enrich the Trump crime syndicate" is not a foreign policy.

@956 Worldwide

My late uncle Red was mostly a far right nut. Much of his wacky worldview stemmed from his experiences during WW2, from being on the water in Pearl Harbor all the way through to witnessing the aftermath of Hiroshima. As a result he was a Holocaust denier, reasoning that using atomic weapons was so horrific, so immoral, that something had been manufactured to divert the world’s attention from the use of the bomb.

But, for the rest of his life, he would, once a month, take a sign to some federal building in Louisiana, and protest. His sign read: “DEMAND DIPLOMACY!” That is why I always liked Red. He loved to cook and he loved fishing in the clear waters of Central Texas.

From the WaPo story about this (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/building-gets-a-new-name-the-donald-j-trump-institute-of-peace/ )

Quote

The administration’s decision to add Trump’s name to the USIP building comes after the president issued an executive order in February seeking to dismantle the organization, an independent nonprofit group created by Congress. The USIP’s president was removed from the headquarters by law enforcement, and the Trump administration fired nearly all of the USIP’s D.C.-based staff. Some diplomats and former staff say they are unsure what the building is used for now.

So, yet again, it's all just window dressing on an empty shell.

It just blows me away that the President now has the power to just undo acts of Congress with an Executive Order. I know that is standard procedure since January of this year but damn. It's so weird.

Remember when Obama was acting like a king by using executive orders at a lower rate?

Wonder what the difference is...

Her response was basically "Um what I said doesn't rise to ANY level.... I said we should all follow the law."

They are, however, getting damn near impossible to work on yourself.

What's so depressing about shit like this, is Trumpco is not just bashing climate change and green wokeness or whatever, they're actively rolling back environmental laws that tangibly and visibly worked to reduce and eliminate pollution.

Our goddamn rivers are all gonna look like this again.

The emissions thing is insane.  Think about all the invested money the automakers have put into the technology already.  There’s a 0% chance the selling price of a vehicle would have any reductions because Trump says more emissions are ok. Also think about all the engineers the automakers would let go.

The good news is that most car companies still want to sell their cars in California.  Unless the Trump administration is successful in preventing the state EPAs from having more restrictive requirements, they are still going to design to gas mileage standards.

No. The problem is that it’s a bad job, with insane hours, the pay is incredibly shitty, and the customers are cheap, stupid assholes who don’t care about the difference between right and wrong.

Very few good people would want that job. We’ve got the congress we deserve. Probably better.
