Some of you are either haters or have never had a truly fresh fresh picked up off the conveyor krispy kreme. There's nothing like it.

Agreed, but a hot, fresh donut is almost always outstanding.

Work has ruined Shipley’s for me. They usually have the guy that gets in at 5am pick them up on his way to work. They then sit out until our meeting at 9am. So 4.5 hours of just getting cold and stale. Microwaving is usually effective, but it’s not as good.

The only above average locations are North Main and Ella. North Main is open 24 hours so they usually have a fresh batch out. Ella serves a cake donut which is pretty popular with the old timers. Some will argue the far west Westheimer location, but they should be shuttered for what they call beignets.

I really don’t care. They’re extremely mediocre to begin with, and much like Chicago Whataburger, something better will rise to replace them.

I make dutch baby pancakes every Sunday. I am a true fat fuck at heart.

geezus man, i'd be comatose on that. weekend breakfast is breakfast tacos with eggs (avocado oil and salt), potatoes (frozen but no preservatives) cooked in the skillet with avocado oil, salt, pepper and garlic and some cheese. no bacon. only one taco for me. splurging on that tortilla man! down it with some celery juice and a small handful of supplements.  whoo hooo!

To be fair, a dutch baby is not calorie dense at all but very filling. Those 3-400 calories fill me up for most of the day.

Shipleys opened in Amarillo last monday. I walked in and thought it was donuts for ants.  Gotdam everything was small.  Donuts  looked like the holes were the size of pencils at putt-putt. Silver dollar apple fritters to boot.

I like their abomination hot dog & jalapeno  kolaches, for what they are. I very likely will not return though.

Why would anyone in Amarillo go to Shipleys when they've got half a dozen Donut Stops to choose from? Amarillo is a shit town (also my hometown), but they've at least got donuts figured out.
