On the judges thing, it might be better characterized as a suit against a Local Rule, or still more accurately, a Standing Order.

D. MD. enacted this standing order https://www.mdd.uscourts.gov/sites/mdd/files/Amended 2025-01.pdf

That says for detainees seeking habeas corpus, certain rules apply to insure proper names are used, and to give enough time to deal with it on an emergency basis, deportations of habeas petitioners are stayed for two days.  Two.  Fucking.  Days.

Such orders come from the Chief Judge of the District, usually with the advice of the other judges.  The first authority to undo such a rule would be the Chief Judge of the Circuit sitting over the district, the Fourth Circuit.  Then I suppose the Supreme Court, which retains authority over all federal court rules.

The government is also asking that all judges of D. MD. ostensibly party to this rule or order be recused from such cases in the future, based apparently on the bias this reflects.  Judges get to run their courtrooms.  When a set of circumstances, like an administration hot to trot to deport people in a hurry, starts infringing on courtroom order and procedure, judges get to set some rules.

I suspect this goes nowhere.  Totally embarrassing for the US DOJ.  Fucking clown show.

They are Trump's emotional support animals.

He has others, but those were the only ones available.

It’s not July 7 yet?

or maybe it’s in person access only that is affected and that note is dumbly vague?

Does he really want to start talking shit about test scores?  Like Wecshler?  SAT?  Against AOC?

TFG ACED the SAT. He’s never missed a question on any test he has ever taken. He also is a seven time NBA Champion, rowed across the Atlantic by himself in two days and graciously never played chess because his overwhelming brainpower was judged to be too much for anyone to ever compete against.

Well, I'll be.

The Trump Phone no longer promises it’s made in America

Quote

When the Trump Organization launched the Trump Mobile wireless carrier, it also launched a flagship phone called the T1 Phone 8002 (gold version). One of the phone’s main selling points was that it was to be made in America. We figured that was unlikely to be true. And we were right: sometime in the last several days, the Trump Mobile siteappears to have been scrubbed of all language indicating the phone is to be made in the USA. (Like, for instance, the huge banner on the homepage that says the T1 is “MADE IN THE USA.” Just to name one example.)

Quote

Instead, the Trump Mobile website now includes what can only be described as vague, pro-American gestures in the direction of smartphone manufacturing. The T1’s new tagline is “Premium Performance. Proudly American.” Its website says the device is “designed with American values in mind” and there are “American hands behind every device.” Under Key Features, the first thing listed is “American-Proud Design.” None of this indicates, well, anything. It certainly doesn’t say the device is made in the USA, or even designed in the USA. There are just… some hands. In America.

That’s not the only thing that appears to have changed about the phone since its launch last week. It was originally advertised to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, but now the T1’s site says it’s 6.25 inches. The site used to list the phone as having 12GB of RAM, and now doesn’t list RAM at all. It’s not entirely clear what’s happening here — the Trump Organization hasn’t responded to a request for comment — but it looks like Trump Mobile may have switched suppliers for the T1. Whatever’s going on, it’s certainly another reason to doubt whether this phone is for real. (The badly photoshopped image of the phone hasn’t changed, though, so that’s something.)

When Trump Mobile first launched, it was also promising the T1 Phone 8002 would ship in September. Now, the only timing I could find was “later this year.” Probably best not to hold your breath.

I bet if someone started blasting YMCA, Trump would instinctively start jerking 'em off.

Close, its next door neighbor.

You jest but Mamdani wasn't born in America and they may actually try to deport him.

Oh, of course they will.

I suspect that internally the GOP heads are positively giddy about this development.  This is the kind of showdown they want.  It's a good stress test for how much they can get away with in these early days.

This isn’t the first time people on the right felt comfortable with this- it was also at the nominating convention and elsewhere on social media. And liberals are in a bubble?

They should be careful who they martyr. I guarantee things would pop off much bigger than a random judge or congress woman getting bullshit charges- disappearing the front runner for mayor of NYC will not be tolerated by regular people
