Not sure if there is a thread for this or not but…..

I get food there every so often for my granddaughters and, myself occasionally, but just ran and got them lunch before the game.

Those new chicken strips are legit and the chili sauce is pretty good too.

Not the mush they make nuggets out of but seems to be real chicken tenders.

if you have to go there I recommend them.

I used to go to McDonald's pretty regularly. Thursday was Cheat Day. I'd use the app to get pretty good deals, like a whole Big Mac meal for $7 and stuff.

There were two near me. One was historically ass, the other pretty darn good.

Well, first, the app deals dried up. They got worse and worse. Eventually it wasn't worth the bother at all.

Then the one decent place's quality declined. And by decline, I mean it fell off a cliff. Within a month, burgers went from being "Yeah it's McDonald's but it's still decent" to "This dried up patty smells and tastes like it was rubbed all over some guy's asshole."

I deleted the app and don't go to McDonald's any more.

I would stop at the one in Caldwell on my monthly visits with the dog to aggy vet school. Their Double Quarter Poinder with Cheese was glorious. Never found one that tasted as good. I still think about that burger. A McDonalds burger. I can't even explain it. Im sure its gone to shit by now.

Dragging kids around to sports we end up at a McDonalds once or twice a month it seems.

Been ordering the quarter pounder.  There definitely are locations that make it better than others.  At the reliable ones it’s satisfactory, at the bad locations its terrible.

Yall crazy eating burgers at McDonalds, but I will admit that once or twice a year I'll binge a 20-piece McNugget with a basket of fries (TM).

I eat it like an alcoholic that is throwing away their 6-month sober chip in a fit of solitary rage and indignation. The evidence is gone by the time my wife gets home with that entire trash bag being taken to the bin outside, but even in her innocence she can sense that something evil and animalistic took place in her absence. It might be the shart that gives it away.

The odor of chicken buttholes, sweet n sour sauce and shame hangs in the air

I eat their breakfast more often than anything else.

Same. Don’t touch anything but their breakfast

I'll willingly eat an Egg McMuffin but I'd rather make them at home now. Last time I ate at McDonald's was last Thanksgiving as we drove my daughter back to Oxford and to go to the Egg Bowl. It's all that we can could find that was open between Texarkana and Little Rock. (It was not good, buddy.)

I have always liked the original cheese burger of ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions.

Same burgers 2-J’s served back in the day.

The Quarter Pounder is the same thing but with more meat.

If you ask them nicely they’ll use quarter pounder patties on your Big Mac.

Their app exclusive deals have turned to shit, but if you go into the McValue Menu section and scroll down to meals, there’s a $5 McDouble Meal Deal that’s a steal.

Same. I dip them in the hot mustard.

I was a diet coke addict (more than 6 per day) and I quit cold turkey.  I drink a lot of unsweetened Iced tea, and McD is as good or better than anybody for that, but it's pricey. 3 bucks or so for tea?

Generally not a fan. They became a business partner recently and I spent a week at their HQ for meetings. They have a McCafe on the 3rd floor and it's a damn free for all, including Krispy Kremes. In addition every morning in the meeting room they would pass the phone around for everyone to order what they wanted, big breakfasts on down. I didn't partake but I was pretty fucking jealous watching my co workers house sausage biscuits with eggs and McGriddles and damn if the first thing I didn't do once I got home was go pick up some McDonald's breakfast.

Also got a pretty cool tour of their archives. PXL_20250321_155302845.thumb.jpg.2f31dc92e5f2963b8b00a5988af29db6.jpgPXL_20250321_153517098.thumb.jpg.a3933c84dd145e0667b5800888d70c7d.jpgPXL_20250321_155515289.thumb.jpg.06da8caeeab00a81c963e8becc689c1d.jpg

Another "breakfast only" person here.

I do like a Royale with cheese but I work 3rd shift. When I get off work I want a burger, not breakfast. That's why I usually hit Sonic, they serve full menu all day.

I worked at McDonalds as a teenager in Memphis and cooked a bag of Big Macs for Elvis who was at the drive thru on his Harley.

I still eat McDonald’s on occasion. For breakfast I like either the sausage McGriddle or the sausage McMuffin, neither with egg.  The usual burger order is either a royale with cheese or if I remember, the triple cheeseburger.  I’ll eat a McRib if they’re back.

Typically we are breakfast only at McDonald's, but we occasionally go for lunch. A McChicken or a McDouble (add Mac sauce) are my go to choices. I don’t see any reason to buy the more pricier items as they all generally taste the same.

95% of the food I've eaten from McD's in the past 20+ years is breakfast.  I'm an egg mcmuffin man, have been for a long time.  The egg white mcmuffin was actually reasonably healthy and my regular order, but they took it off the menu.  Their coffee is solid.  In the summers, they've often run "$1 any size drink."  Not uncommon for us to swing through a drive through and grab a coupla giant iced teas for $2.

As for non-breakfast...a QP with cheese is often...fine.  I had mcnuggets for the first time in eons earlier this year (was waiting on a car repair, walked across the street and got some for lunch).  Meh.  They seem thinner, and half breading.  Fries are good for the first 2 minutes if they're fresh.  Filet o fish is a perfectly serviceable fish sandwich.  I'll eat a McRib every few years out of nostalgia (my dad and I would grab one on our way home from surf fishing when I was a kid - kinda became a thing, I don't know why, because he was a picky messican and usually disliked such junk).  And...that's about it.  It sure isn't a destination or choice, and if we're going to grab fast food and there are other options, we'll almost always choose something else over McD's.

Except for breakfast.  They've kinda mastered the fast food breakfast.

On Sunday mornings, I'll drive to the one a few miles from the house, get myself a sausage egg mcmuffin, and a $1 dollar sausage mcmuffin for the dog.

Every once in a while, I'll request mine with 2 sausage patties.  They charge something like $1.39 extra for the sausage, and it's worth it, but it does throw off the proportions of the sandwich.  It's a bit harder to keep assembled while you are eating.
