And the fact it is unusual that there were two shooters. After a mass shooting bc of the confusion and amount of shots and people not knowing where the shots came from etc…we always hear initial media reports that it is suspected that there is more than one shooter and it’s almost always turns out to be just a lone gunman. Tracing the guns etc…I am sure is a top priority that this isn’t something larger and part of a plan for other future events or connected to one.

We almost always hear two shooters and it turns out to be just a lone shooter. So this is definitely different because have two known shooters and we have proof that there were two in this terrible mass murder.

It’s not super odd; almost all right-wing or “mental health” shootings are lone wolves but Islamic/jihadist attacks are not always but frequently planned and carried out in groups. The radicalization process is also different, it is extremely likely that these two were connected in person and partially radicalized in a community; incels and right wingers do it almost all online.

The point I wanted to make is simply this.  If someone wraps one arm around my neck from behind and I have a knife in my belt the knife will be in his kidney.  No doubt this guy is a hero, just glad it turned out well.

You must have really long arms.

The guy who disarmed the shooter got shot twice.

The shooter on the bridge was right behind the other shooter whose gun was taken. So I wouldn't be surprised if the hero was shot by the guy on the bridge after taking the gun. See longer video below.  It also strikes me that we have a number of different angles of this already from people extremely close to and in the direct line of fire of the shooters. I know it shouldn't be surprising at this point, but pulling out my phone to video would not be top of mind for me in this situation:

No thanks. In 2003 I was standing in an English class in Mexico trying to teach them words by charades. "Break" came up, and I hit my neck with one hand and the side of my head with the other. A little too hard.

There was a pop.

For a few seconds I and the class looked at each other, as I waited for my body to collapse under me. Thoughts like "what a stupid way to go out" flashed through my mind.

Pencils are cheap. Snap a pencil in two if you're teaching English.

I have taught English in a Spanish speaking country and never once injured myself during a lesson.

Yes, after trying to sleep on ice bags one night to stop the bleeding after taking a knee on one in eighth grade football practice.  No further comments from me re what I apparently wrongly considered MIGHT be friendly advice.

Makes sense, here’s an interview with somebody who knows the hero/related to him (hero is in the hospital undergoing surgery) - he said he was shot in the shoulder and hand, which had to be after he disarmed the shooter.

I say that because he appears to be able to wrestle with the shooter just fine, but it’s possible he got shot before or during the struggle or the adrenaline was pumping.

It's too bad the father died already.  I would prefer they both die slowly and as painfully as possible.  Anyone who can do this isn't human.  I hope the younger one suffers as much as possible before someone ends his useless life.

I actually was, but mostly from a distance, and really the hatred hangs on for decades and the reality is some generations just will have it and it ain't going anywhere. Humans gonna human.

Wild.

Yeah I was trying to figure out what kind of gun they were too. The first vid I saw, I thought shit someone grabbed ArmyBrats first flintlock and started shooting people like it was the 1600’s.
It's very difficult to get your hands on just a single shot long rifle in Australia, much less anything beyond that.
Gun control works very, very well over there.

I mean, it’s an island.

These two men, if reports are accurate, are from Pakistan.  If so, they and their families have never been subject to violence from Jews or “Zionists.” (Although from my time living there, I can attest that casual anti-Semitism and insane anti-Israel conspiracy theories run rampant despite Israel’s profound lack of interest in Pakistan and the local Jewish community numbering in the triple digits).

In Pakistan, the Muslim majority regularly inflicts great legalized violence on religious minorities including Muslims who have an unsatisfactory theology. It is quite literally written into the legal code.

At some point, they traveled over 7000 miles to a multi-ethnic, secular democracy, presumably because their home nation— which by constitution is established and exists for Muslims with others merely tolerated at best— offered fewer material opportunities. Some years later they carried out a family mass shooting of Jews celebrating a holiday at a beach.

They are not the victims of generational violence committed by Jews or Zionists, and they are not mentally ill. The have willingly consumed a potent and vicious ideology that holds that all Muslims are victims of Israel and that Muslims have been unjustly dispossessed of their rightful heritage of political power over non-believers.

This is not an interpretation of Islam that all, or even most Muslims adhere to. But it is also not completely insignificant and fringe, sometimes more so in emigre communities living in places where religious tolerance and freedom is a given.  Many of its adherents and proselytizers find more freedom of action outside of Islamic majority nations because most of them use state power to ensure that political Islam colors within lines acceptable to authorities.

So not only did he disarm one gunman, he drew fire from the other gunman away from the crowd for some amount of time.

Here's a helpful tip:  from behind the shooter, place one forearm around front of neck, the other forearm across back of neck.  Snap them toward each other until shooter is paralyzed with pain or neck breaks.  The effect is instantaneous.  If you do not believe this have a friend GENTLY demonstrate it on you.

With your knee(s) forcing into your opponent's BACK of knees, making them buckle or fall backwards.  #Judo

Oh yeah.
Just, in any circumstance, those are unusual guns.

Bolt action shotgun?  Correct, not as common.  For Duck & Dove or Pheasant type wings hooting you want multiple "faster action / sweep & shoot" capability with a "sporting" plug (removeable) that restricts the # of rounds (shells) it will hold, making capacity from 5 down to 3.

Most bolt action shotguns are for slug shooting such as bear, deer, etc.
& From my first listen, I thought it was a shotgun.  Granted, phone recording.

Brave as fuck (& dangerous) for the person in or behind that black car to document the shooter for so long.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12-15/bondi-beach-attack-gunmen-father-and-son/106142630

Quote

Australia's domestic intelligence agency, ASIO, examined one of the Bondi Beach gunmen six years ago over his close ties to a Sydney-based Islamic State (IS) terrorism cell, the ABC understands.

Naveed Akram, 24, and his father, Sajid Akram, 50, killed 15 people on Sunday evening when they opened fire on the Chanukah by the Sea event celebrating the first day of the Jewish festival.

Naveed Akram is in hospital under police guard after his father was shot dead in an exchange of gunfire with police on Sunday.

Heavily-armed police on Sunday night raided their home in Bonnyrigg, in south-west Sydney, as well as an Airbnb property in Campsie where the men had been staying.

Quote

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed Naveed Akram first came to ASIO's attention in October 2019 and was under investigation for a period of six months but there was an assessment he posed no ongoing threat.

The official said Naveed Akram was closely connected to Matari, who is serving seven years in jail for planning an IS insurgency as the self-declared Australian commander of the terrorist group.

Matari was part of an IS cell with several other Sydney men who have since been convicted of terrorist offences and were also close to Naveed Akram, according to sources with close knowledge of the matter.

ASIO director-general Mike Burgess said on Sunday that one of the gunmen was known to the agency, but did not specify which man.

"One of these individuals was known to us, but not in an immediate-threat perspective, so we need to look into what happened here," he said.

The JCTT comprises ASIO, NSW Police, the Australian Federal Police and the NSW Crime Commission.

Father was a licensed firearms holder

Speaking to reporters on Monday morning, NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said Sajid Akram had been a licensed firearms holder for the past 10 years.

"He has six firearms licensed to him. We are satisfied that we have six firearms from the scene yesterday," he said.

Pretty wild that Aussie gun laws licensed a dude who’s son just happened to be besties with a bunch of ISIS guys.

Bingo, we were right, after he took the father down, the son shot him.

The owner of a tobacconist, al-Ahmed, a 44-year-old father of two daughters, aged six and seven, suffered gunshot wounds to his shoulder and arm from the second suspected attacker, Naveed Akram, who turned his fire on al-Ahmed after he had disarmed his father.

My co-worker lived right at the spot of the shooting for 15 years.  She's in Barcelona now, but understandably having a rough day.  She had friends that were there, but luckily no one harmed.  They told her the shooters were specifically targeting Jews and actually waving other people out of the way so they could target them.  So fucked.

He disarmed the guy but didn't (or was unable to) shoot him.  The dude walked back to the bridge with his son, picked up another gun that was on the ground, and kept firing before he was dropped.

The booted, often-hatted, Wrangler-wearing, Copenhagen-dipping South Texas Jewboy was one of the more interesting phenomena I encountered at UT.

I lived next door to some during undergrad.  They had a mounted deer head (treif) wearing a prayer shawl over their fireplace.

I think most of them came from Germany through Galveston along with other German immigrants and generally as merchant-class, were a bit higher in the pecking order than the non-Jewish farmers.

I'm no historian, but I read some books.  My take:
1) Banking.  The Old Testament bans the charging of interest, but medieval Europe found a loophole.  They all decided it was OK to pay/charge interest between Christians and Jewish folks.  Ie King Thomas can't loan money to King Michael, but he CAN loan it to a Jewish intermediary, who then loans it to King Michael.  Presumably that's how banking ended up with lotsa Jewish people.  We all hate bankers, and lotsa bankers were Jewish.  So...

2) The Black Death.  I guess the Old Testament has some specific rules of cleanliness.  Sweep up stored grain, pick up your trash, etc.  Christians fell away from that over time.  Then the plague rats come in.  Jewish households are unappealing and they move on, leaving their residents unharmed.  Said plague rats set up shop in the homes of dirty Christians, they all get plague, they die.  Christian survivors can't help but notice their Jewish friends aren't dying.  They jump to the wrong conclusion...

The thing is the mass murder/shooting in Australia happened—we have all seen the clips and the heroic actions of Ahmed. And yet people will deny it happened. That I will never understand. It happened. Admitting the holocaust or the horrible events of October 7th is something they cannot do, admitting further that those atrocities were wrong is something they cannot do. Because I guess it invalidates their own hatred? Own victimhood? It’s bizarre to me that we still have people to this day all over the world that are denying October 7th or the Holocaust even happened. And I suppose they will deny the events of Sunday too. Damn. 😢

Yeah I know of bolt action shotguns, most prominently the Marlin Goose Gun.

Some weird things on these, though.  First tube mag, as most seem to have box mags.  Second, the extended tube (seems like extended mags in a gun control country are weird).  Finally, the footage shows what appears to be a straight pull type action, with the shooters cycling the bolt with a straight pull.  And that's a pretty uncommon type of bolt action until pretty recently.

Do some gas autos have something that cuts off the gas system and autoloading?  If so, that might explain all.  Then again, if you have autoloading and you're gonna do a mass shooting, why turn it off?

I don't necessarily disagree with what you have written. Just want to add that hatred of Hindus and Jews is not some special version of Islam that they get they get access to in more religiously free societies.

They very textbooks in Pakistan are filled with explicit bigotry towards all non-believers but especially the Hanood (polytheist Hindus) and Yahood (Jews). This is well studied and documented. The very motto of Pakistan Army (which is the all powerful organization in Pakistan, as I am sure you are aware) calls for "Jihad in service of Allah", and no they are not talking about spiritual struggle.

So it would be more accurate to say that that,in free and open societies like Australia, UK and US, these nutjobs get an opportunity to act on their brainwashing because they have easy access to people they have been brainwashed to hate since as you correctly note, they have all but eliminated all other minorities in their own country.
