Mass Shootings

Nice Guy Eddie

Recommended Posts

According to CNN: Uvalde's officers -- who stood around for 77 minutes during in a mass school shooting -- were cleared of blame by Investigators even though there were "failures."

Doublethink in action. Mind-blowing.

I've said here before, and I say it again. There is a massive intellectual and moral collapse happening in 40-60% of this country.

As stated many times in the Fuck the Police thread, the police will always protect their own from accountability.  This includes retired police officers working as independent investigators.  Just another scam.

Now one at Moscow concert hall, at least 40 dead, 100 injured.  Building ablaze.

Fucking Rooskies. Mass shootings are an American thing. This is like some Soviet knockoff pair of Levi’s or some shit. Rip-off artists.

So what happened to the shooters? I've read through several articles and have not seen any information on what happened to the actual shooters.

I am russian. Some people were arrested, but it seems they are not the shooters. The shooters managed to escape in white sedan and now everyone is looking for them.
Also their car was mined.

I had to fill up the car today.  The gas station is NE from my house, so technically I also headed towards Ukraine.  Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Putin is blaming it on Ukraine.  Oh, who could have predicted that?

Let me go out on a limb and suggest that Putin funded the assassins.

If he did, the security forces would have their shit together from the start. The way everything was handled from the hour and 20 minute delay in assault to the release of information about the “arrests” was amateur hour,

Texas’ gun laws make the state an attractive destination for arms traffickers, gun control advocates say. Powerful, military-style assault rifles are legal and plentiful in Texas but banned in California.

“These are weapons of war that are used on the battlefield,” said David Pucino, legal director and deputy chief counsel at the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence

there as a shooting, but it was just your run of the mill shooting with two injured persons. not even elevated to death, much less mass shooting. guns are still safe! still not infringed!

If there was ever any doubt that Americans value guns more than people, consider what would provoke the greater outrage - wholesale restrictions on your gun rights or your healthcare?

Multiple law enforcement officers shot in Charlotte, situation is apparently still active.  Doesn't sound good.

CNN — “Numerous law enforcement officers” have been shot in an “active situation” in Charlotte, North Carolina, police say.

“The scene is still active. Avoid the area. Many roads are closed for faster ambulance transport. Please cooperate with authorities,” the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said on X.

The incident is at the 5000 block of Galway Drive, police said, and a SWAT team is on scene.

“The US Marshals Task Force, which is comprised of officers from multiple agencies, was conducting an investigation in the area of the 5000 block of Galway Dr when they were engaged by active gunfire from a subject,” police said. “Multiple law enforcement officers have been struck by the gunfire and are being transported to the hospital.”

Police say an "active investigation" is underway

“Mayor Vi Lyles is monitoring the situation,” City of Charlotte spokesperson Lawrence Corley told CNN.

Police said “gunfire continues on the scene” in an earlier post on X.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

That sucks. April is a very violent month, historically. That said, knock on wood, it feels like it’s been a long while (relatively speaking) since we’ve had a really bad school shooting or something.  Has anything changed?

3 dead LEOs, and 5 wounded LEOs.  Just a fucking waste.  We are so desensitized to this sort of thing it's not even really a big story.  3 people dead, who knows how many family members directly impacted on a permanent basis due to loss, and who knows how critical the 5 wounded are?

Just makes me sad and angry.

Fuck.  My first cousin's husband is a Charlotte cop.  I was going to post about him in the Simms/Esiason thread on Football, but I figured it didn't matter that much.  He played with Bill Cowher at NC State, and they remain close.

Pro tip: Shooting several people serving a warrant != mass shooting

If you can hit hard targets armed to kill you then more power to you.  Mass shootings = cowards hitting soft targets because they are the dregs of society.

I hope this helps....

That’s a fucked up take. I agree that there’s a difference but if you’re going to fire on the authorities serving a warrant then you deserve to get destroyed. Not “more power to you.” That makes you sound like a psychopath.

Are you a Branch Davidian or something?

Pie-chart-of-ethical-compliance-of-the-3

I have heard this one cited a few times.  2% have no ethical limiters at all.  26% can and will persuade themselves of whatever.   So in good times we have nearly 30% with a total moral failing.   I bet those 370 pussies breaks down about the same.  2% were OK with the children dying.  26% went along with the 2%.  And the rest didn't buck the chain of command.

Explains the floor for both Trump and Nixon's approval ratings. Nixon still had 25% support at the end. Trump's lowest was 34%.

I was going to make a reference to this looking/sounding like a Phil Collins boxed set.  But then i remembered all the dead children.

I wonder how a "leader" can look at photographs of blood so deep that multiple mops couldn't get it all out after several hours and think, "Meh, could be worse."

All you have to do is be an evil sociopath who only cares about himself. From the looks of our stateside leadership, that’s pretty easy. In fact, it must be damned near impossible NOT to be that kind of person, based on the data I’ve seen.

Said "leader" when hearing multiple mops couldn't clean all the blood.

"So what? Get a fucking pressure washer."
