One of the better quotes from texags:

Quote

I know it may be long shot and looks fairly grim, but Trump is a fighter. He doesn't like to lose so I expect he will have his best people on it and will fight like a caged lion. It's not time to concede yet.

"He will have his best people on it and will fight like a caged lion."

Other than getting the courts involved, exactly how can Trump fight?  Are there more rallies scheduled?

Democrats played this the best they could from a candidate standpoint

lol this is going to be the prevailing belief and Republicans are going to win back the House in 2022 and presidency in 2024 as Democrats will spend the next 4 years screaming "I SWEAR TO GOD WE ARE NOT SOCIALISTS!" and nothing else.

It's going to take generations to get away from the 1945-1989 Big Red Dog fears.

Its because the large counties which are democrat stronghold are the numbers that have not been counted.

Wayne county in MI had 40% of the vote counted at 2am. Biden was winning there by 40% that is where the ground was made up to put Biden in front.

Well, it appears that the number that was being reported is not total votes counted, but precincts reporting. Perhaps that was understood, but it was not made clear on what I was watching.

Yup. Thats why he got the nom. Democrats played this the best they could from a candidate standpoint

I disagree. I think they could have won with Sanders or Warren and made up some ground in the Senate.

Biden's shadyness and overall mental capacity/age would have cost democrats had it been a normal election year where he had a lot more coverage.

I was wondering that myself - usually it's always a percentage of precincts and we all know the total votes in a precinct can vary quite a bit.

The door to socialism is opening. We're fucked imo.

You're welcome to avoid hypocrisy and forgo your use of any socialist benefits like schools, emergency responders, roads, parks, FDIC insured bank accounts, military, social security, veteran hospitals and benefits, medicare/aid, public universities, libraries, etc.

At least we live to see another day. The important thing was getting Trump out of office.

Spare me the "well he might run again" or "he's not going away". I know. But he needs to be out of office now.

I would love to see Biden come out and say that he agrees with President Trump and that the counting should stop immediately...just to see Trump and his idiot surrogates backwalk a lot of what he said a few hours ago.

I think their campaign has frozen.  Their strategy was to be up/tied with Penn being the tiebreaker, and they could go in and fight all the mail-in ballots.  Now they are behind and need votes, but they also know in most places the numbers will only get worse as the counting goes along.  Its really hard to find a legal angle to challenge specific counties without any obvious shenanigans to point to at the scale they are facing.

Really, about 90% of the posters here shouldn't use that word because their conception of its definition is as strong as their conception of the definition of the word mytacism.

Have any Republican politicians publicly commented on vote count or the election yet?  Curious to see if they are lining up behind Trump's assault on the mail in vote.

They are all quiet.  It is the best sign that they believe Biden is going to win.

And Medicare expansion has been passed in a bunch of red states the past few years.

Red state voters like Democratic policies. The Democratic Party is simply absolutely abysmal at selling itself.

Quoting myself here because:

The Democratic Party is so fucking inept.

Disagree IMO. If that were the case, Biden wouldn’t have been the candidate and we would be looking at president Sanders or Warren.

Sanders missed his window and you now just have to hope that people like AOC never gain popularity.

Sarcasm brother.

Sorry. @bad_teammate is right on this one.  Biden was the "safe" choice to win the white house, but that same decision cost them senate seats because people were voting against trump instead of for Biden. Jack shit is going to get done other than potentially rolling back some tariffs and maybe a stimulus package, and republicans will find a proper candidate by 2024.

Most republicans were glad that Biden was selected as the candidate, that should tell you all you need to know.

Does Pennsylvania even matter at this point? Only way I see it making a difference is if Trump wins Michigan.

That AZ win was massive, totally throttling Trump’s strategy of making PA the focus.  McCain’s ghost is looking down on Trump and saying “take that you loser!”

Never Trumpers were as Biden was acceptable to them.  Trump supporters desperately wanted Sanders as he would have given Trump a chance to thread the needle again.
