6 million Trump voters in California.  Yes they can make for big crowds. This moron has zero sense of scale or magnitude.  11 million Biden voters also could make big crowds. And are 5 million more in number

who counted the votes ?

It won’t land. All the people who understand how shitty this is already fall into one of two camps:
1. Horrified by what Trump means to the military and all other institutions and against him regardless of political inclinations.
2. Completely willing overlook what he means and compartmentalize because they are angry.

Kamala needs to just register this as “yeah, he’s a weird guy who can’t even visit a cemetery normally.”
Her campaign realizes we are all just about vibes now and the effective line for the masses is “Trump’s vibes are off.”

I actually disagree here. Using military graves for a photo op, especially against the cemetery’s wishes while assaulting their employee, is the type of simple, ghoulish story that can extend beyond us politics-obsessed weirdos and take root in the “normie” electorate.

I’m not saying Kamala personally needs to bring it up a lot, but if highlighted correctly by the campaign, it is exactly the type of thing that can turn into a “deplorable” or “47%” type of viral moment that helps define an election.

Seems legit to me.  Instead of all of us voting across the United States we should just let Donald Trump tell us which states he will win based on how many signs he sees or who he thinks really, really likes him.  I bet he would tell us he would win all 50 states plus the country of Wakanda.

Wakanda, fine country beautiful country we love Wakanda and the people love me there. Big Wakandans, Strong Wakandans, they come up to me, tears streeeaming over their facial tattoos-- that's what they do there, put these facial tattoos, like how they ID you, you don't need a wallet or a driver's license, the cop pulls you over, very courteous, they just take a sec to look at your facial tattoos, boom, "Oh hi, Mr. Adelelewakaboomboom, could you please please just slow it down a tad, we have baby elephants on their way to school here." Very courteous. We could learn from my fine Wakandan supporters. Should Wakanda be a state? I don't know. Maybe yes, maybe no, maybe we'll see. I actually think they'd be on the losing end of things, forced to associate with some of our Blue State riff-raff. I'd hate that. Those facial tattoos, you know I'm not impressed with ethnic types but hey. WAKANDA WE LOVE YOOOOU.

My spelling was stollen.

I recently drove from SF through Napa, past Sacramento to Lake Tahoe and back.  A good bit of that drive was through farmland, where I assume there would be a higher concentration of Trump supporters than average.

I never once saw a Trump sign.  I saw a bunch of Biden signs, though.  Purely anecdotal, but I think old Donnie might be mistaken.

Wrong part of Cali.  Salinas, Fresno, Bakersfield, and the Central Valley are all pretty trump because of agriculture.  Redding is trumpy as fuck.  Then there’s plenty in the LA area.

1.1 million votes for Trump in LA County

No matter what he does it can’t be taken seriously.  Just roll your eyes and call him the weird fuck he is.  Honestly him getting shot at and everyone blowing it off was a great start to all this.  Gotta keep it up and not get dragged into the mud.

I can tell by the lack of ad buys here in San Diego Jesus is gonna count the votes.

Dems flipped the Tulsa mayorship - locked out the GOP and 2 Dems advanced to the runoff

It’s actually nonpartisan, but the top 2 candidates both hold elected office as Democrats. The Dem-affiliated candidates combined for nearly 2/3 of the vote, when the GOP incumbent won with 52% four years ago

VanNorman 18,019 (take the L, loser)

Definitely a good election night for Tulsa. The current mayor isn't maga, not even close, and I and other young(ish) Tulsans (at the time) supported him against Dewey Bartlett who was an old bastard, a true partisan oil rich Republican. The mayor governed as a true centrist and likely cost himself a political future because the magas around here hate him for being too woke for things like being nice to immigrants and supporting liberal leaning city council members who did good work. He also didn't attend the Trump rally during Covid (the one that killed Herman Cain) although it did piss off a lot of his supporters like me for allowing it to happen at all (although I'm nuanced enough to know how difficult that would have been even if he wanted to turn away a sitting President). The fact that we're now guaranteed a registered democrat at City Hall is just further progress. Brent VanNorman hasn't even live in Tulsa very long (some say he doesn't really live here at all) and thank goodness his maga ass was told to go the fuck away. The liberal and left leaning city council candidates mostly won too but that's been trending for at least a decade now. I hate that we win only by slim margins in the city and are drowned out by the rural maga fucks at the state level but I've said before that my midtown Tulsa bubble is the only reason I can tolerate living here as long as I have, a lot of really good forward thinking people are here doing good work.

He could bless five votes and turn them into 11,780.

Or, in the case of California, he could turn the five votes into 5,103,822.

You hear right, my friend.

And the Tavern is perfectly good bar food.  A solid burger.  Tator tots are available as a side, which is always a plus.  And Monday is all-day happy hour, beers are $4 I think.  It's a solid and reliable option for grub, drinks, and yep, catching a game (I've watched soccer matches, baseball games, NBA finals, and plenty of Longhorn football games there over the past 30+ years).  And yeah, you never know who you'll bump into there.

Agreed

Noticed this morning that the incredibly nice older woman across the street has put up a “I stand with Trump” flag outside her front door. Kind of a depressing way to start off my day.

I see it more of a “when pigs fly…” statement. The chances of Donald winning California is about the same as Jesus becoming an election commissioner.

Cool part is how they're ignoring the grave to their right, that of Moises Navas who died in Iraq during the Trump administration.

Are you saying Jesus Christ can’t hit a curveball become an election commissioner?

Van Jones was warning everyone in 2020 that the registration data was heavily in the GOP's favor, which led to a much closer than expected race.  It feels like the opposite in 2024 - it's women, voters of color, young voters.

Kind of reminds me of how 3/4 of new registrations leading up to the Kansas pro-abortion referendum were women.  Polling showed a tie or the referendum barely winning and it won by 19 points!

But all the pundits were screaming ITS A CLOSE RACE, IT COULD GO EITHER WAY and then were like "uh yeah, it won huge in a red state"
