RIP Norm Macdonald

Wow.

Lori Jo Hoekstra, Macdonald's friend and producing partner, told Deadline she was with him at the time of his death and that the comedian had been fighting cancer for nine years, but did not wish to share his health struggles with the public.

“He was most proud of his comedy,” Hoekstra told Deadline. “He never wanted the diagnosis to affect the way the audience or any of his loved ones saw him. Norm was a pure comic. He once wrote that ‘a joke should catch someone by surprise, it should never pander.’ He certainly never pandered. Norm will be missed terribly.”

damn, now I feel bad.

Abt 7 years ago I saw him at Irvine Improv...

it was the late night show and I had been drinking all day.

He came on and I was falling asleep... honestly it felt like he was bombing it... idk.. it could have been his best show I was dozing off like a bitch.

I got up and left.... the doorman straight up told me " that guy is a legend and you're leaving?"

RIP

I went to the show because i loved Billy Madison and Norm rocks!

Who would you rather bone, Meg Ryan or Jack Nicholson?

Mangrate is fucked!

Rip to a guy that had me in tears more than once.

I will try and find the interview with Bob Einstein that my kids still quote to this day.

Edit:  whole episode is great but the mike Douglas story starts at 13:45
